Ashleigh Brewer Is Officially on Maternity Leave
Ashleigh Brewer is about to be a mama, and B&B has officially sent her off on maternity leave with the kind of exit Ivy Forrester absolutely deserved. The actress, who announced her first pregnancy with husband Mark Bauch earlier this year, has been filming her final scenes for now, and today’s episode was her last before she trades the Forrester design office for a nursery.
Brewer and Bauch, a filmmaker, married on December 11, 2025. They got engaged in January 2024 after being introduced by fellow Aussie actress Phoebe Tonkin. They went public with their relationship in May 2022 and have been keeping their life together charmingly low-key on Instagram ever since. When Brewer announced the pregnancy, her B&B castmates including Rebecca Budig, Lawrence Saint-Victor, Kimberlin Brown, and Laneya Grace flooded the comments with love. Now the countdown to baby Bauch is officially on.

Poison Ivy’s Exit Today Was a Masterclass in Graceful Writing
If you caught today’s episode, you saw the show handle Brewer’s maternity leave with the kind of care and grace that proves B&B absolutely knows how to execute a real-life departure when it wants to. Ivy was finally called on the carpet in the Forrester office for the letter situation. Will Spencer accused her of being diabolical. Ridge Forrester and Brooke Logan told her flat out that she overstepped. Electra Forrester got the direct apology she deserved. And Ivy, finally admitting that interfering in her niece’s life “wasn’t proper at all,” accepted the consequences with the only exit line that matters.
“I’ll go, but I will be back.”
She wiped a tear. She walked out. Ridge offered Electra the chance to step up and take over the Ivy line. And just like that, B&B cleared the decks for Brewer to go enjoy her pregnancy, have her baby, and come back to a storyline already set up for her return whenever she is ready.
Ivy is not gone. Ivy is on a break. And knowing this show, when Poison Ivy does come back, she is going to bring every ounce of unfinished business with her and a front door to kick in.

Electra taking over the Ivy line is the most interesting pivot. That is Electra stepping into the kind of professional spotlight her aunt has been hogging, and it lines up beautifully with the personal reckoning she is having between Will and RJ right now. For those who may not know, Brewer is an Australian actress who first made her mark on Neighbours from 2009 to 2014, where she shared a flat with a little-known up-and-comer named Margot Robbie. Brewer joined B&B as Ivy in 2014, stayed until 2018, did a stint on Home and Away, and returned to B&B in a recurring capacity in 2024. She has been absolutely magnificent since her return, and we cannot wait to see what comes next for both Brewer and Ivy.
