Bold and the Beautiful Recap October 6: Steffy Forrester Finnegan Nearly Exposes the Surrogacy Lie

STEFFY FORRESTER FINNEGAN TELLS DAPHNE SHE DESERVES THE TRUTH

TL;DR: Steffy Forrester Finnegan told Daphne she deserves the truth, but Daphne cut her off before the confession landed. Carter slipped about the baby, and Zende walked out of Logan without an answer.

Steffy Tries to Tell Daphne the Truth

The Bold and the Beautiful recap October 6 is the day the surrogacy lie almost died in a Forrester office. Daphne Rose Walton wanted answers. “What is really going on?” she demanded, still stung that Carter Walton and Steffy Forrester Finnegan made the call without her. Carter tried to calm his wife while Steffy turned away and thought it over.

Then she turned back and admitted that what she and Carter did was wrong. “You deserve the truth,” she told Daphne. Carter’s eyes nearly popped out of his head, and when he tried to stop her, Steffy shot back, “No!” It came one day after Daphne sobbed over being left out on Monday, and our B&B spoilers for the next two weeks show this secret is running out of road.

And then Daphne talked right over her. As Steffy stepped in to apologize, Daphne decided the two of them had only been sparing her the stress. Just like that, the confession was gone.

Carter’s Slip Was the Truest Thing He Said All Day

Later Carter sat Daphne down and swore there is nothing he wouldn’t do for her and their future family. He apologized for the secrecy and told her to focus on the child growing inside Steffy. Daphne reminded him that no pregnancy has been confirmed yet. “Right. I got ahead of myself,” Carter chuckled.

Here is the joke only the audience gets. Steffy really is pregnant, and she believes Carter is the father. His slip was the most honest sentence he has spoken in weeks, and his wife corrected him. Carter’s cover story was built to burn, and he keeps striking matches. Daphne then walked over to thank Steffy, who looked guilt-ridden and stunned.

Did Steffy Tell Daphne the Truth About the Baby?

No, not yet. Steffy got as far as “You deserve the truth” before Daphne cut in. Daphne still knows only that the procedure went ahead without her. She has no idea Steffy was already pregnant, or who Steffy believes the father is. My gut tells me Steffy Forrester Finnegan won’t get a second clean shot with Carter hovering, so the next confession may not be hers to make.

Brooke and Ridge Toast a Baby They Know Nothing About

At home, Brooke Logan kissed Ridge Forrester and mentioned that Donna and Eric invited them to dinner. She sighed that “it’s just me and Donna now,” with Katie no longer family after everything she has done. Ridge grumbled that Bill has done a number on Katie, who sounds more like him every day.

Then the couple gushed about Carter and Daphne having a baby, and about Steffy and Finn’s incredible marriage. Read that twice. Ridge and Brooke spent Tuesday cheering two marriages sitting on the same secret, the same afternoon Steffy Forrester Finnegan nearly blew it open. Brooke’s only wish was that Katie and Hope weren’t so estranged.

Zende Walks Out of Logan Without an Answer

At Logan, Katie Logan Spencer swore she wasn’t pressuring Zende Forrester Dominguez, and he wasn’t buying it. She and Hope Logan Spencer pitched him again, and Katie put it plainly: “Logan needs you.” Zende shot back that secrecy mattered more to Hope than their relationship. That wound still hasn’t closed, as Hope and Katie learned when Zende erupted last week.

When Zende reminded them he’s a Forrester, Katie reminded him he’s been passed over before and will be again. Deke Sharpe walked in, caught on to the pitch and held out his hand to welcome Zende aboard. Zende said he hasn’t decided. Deke said it would be an honor to work with him again.

Zende warned that the fallout with Brooke and his family would be brutal. Katie called it smart business. “But you have to make the choice,” she said. He left without making one, while Katie called after him that his career would shine at Logan with Hope.

RJ and Electra Bet on Family Loyalty

Back at Forrester, RJ Forrester and Electra Forrester plotted to surprise the fashion world with their secret line, which has to stay hidden “especially from Katie.” Electra mentioned a run-in with Dylan earlier, then got back to business. Both are sure Zende stays, because he’s a Forrester and this is his family’s company. “Thank you for believing in me, RJ,” Electra told him. If I know these writers, that confidence is exactly what Katie is counting on.
