IRENE GOLDWASSER SAYS BROOKE LOGAN NEEDS TO GROW UP, AND SHE MAKES A CASE

TL;DR: Reader Irene Goldwasser wrote in with a scorching take on Bold and the Beautiful, and we are not disagreeing with a word of it. Her verdict on Brooke Logan and the entitled Forrester way of doing things lands like a gut punch.

Blood Is Thicker Than Water, Eric

Irene Goldwasser did not hold back, and honestly, neither did Eric Forrester when he turned on Donna for keeping Katie and Hope‘s secret. He demanded to know where her loyalty truly lives, snapped that it belongs to him, and pulled away when she begged for a way to fix things. Irene called this exactly what it is: an entitled husband forgetting his wife has sisters too.

Donna kept a secret to protect Katie and Hope from being crushed before their moment, and Eric treated it like treason against the family nameIrene put it best: blood is thicker than water, and Donna had every right to choose loyalty to her sister over loyalty to a business. Eric’s cold shoulder afterward, walking upstairs and leaving his wife standing there, was not the reaction of a man secure enough to survive one uncomfortable secret.

That same entitlement runs straight through to how Brooke Logan has handled her own daughter. Hope is a grown woman who made a career decision, and Brooke responded like Hope had committed a crime against the family throne.

Second-Class Citizens No More

Irene hits even harder on this point. Brooke Logan spends so much energy groveling to RidgeSteffy, and the Forrester name that her own daughter gets treated like an afterthought. Hope and Katie are Logans, not Forresters, and Irene is right that this family has a long, ugly history of making anyone without that last name feel like hired help.

Hope Logan stood in that showroom and asked her own mother for forgiveness, and Brooke Logan made her beg for it. Meanwhile Hope and Liam are still living under Brooke’s roof, which Irene calls its own kind of red flag. With this much Forrester money floating around, grown adults still crash at mom’s house instead of building their own lives, and Irene thinks that lack of independence breeds exactly the kind of conflict we keep watching play out.

She is not wrong. Every time Hope tries to step out from under her mother’s shadow, whether it is a secret runway show or simply an opinion of her own, Brooke reels her back in like independence is a betrayal instead of growth.

Even Electra Is Catching the Family Curse

Irene Goldwasser also zeroes in on Electra Forrester turning into Steffy right before our eyes, and she is not wrong to worry. Electra spiraled into a jealous panic over Will Spencer keeping a business secret, and RJ Forrester swooped in to comfort her a little too eagerly for comfort. Irene’s read that RJ and Electra “deserve each other” is savage, but given how RJ practically salivated at the chance to trash Will, we cannot argue.

Will Spencer works for a rival company, and treating a professional boundary like personal betrayal is a very Forrester habit to catch. If Electra keeps absorbing that entitlement by osmosis, Irene’s prediction that she and RJ are a better match than she and Will might end up looking less like a hot take and more like a forecast.
