Ridge Forrester Said the One True Thing of His Entire Career
Ridge Forrester just looked at his wife in the middle of one of her trademark Logan family meltdowns and said the words she will never recover from. You need therapy. Ridge said it. Ridge, the man who has chased the same two women in a triangle for thirty years and never once paused to ask whether maybe he was the problem. Ridge, the patron saint of indecision and patronizing speeches. Ridge sat across from Brooke Logan, watched her unravel over Katie Logan‘s collection selling out on a livestream, and recommended professional help.
He was right. For the first time in his entire televised existence, he was right.
Brooke Logan has lost her grip on this Logan situation in a way that should embarrass everyone in her bloodline. She called her own sister appalling. She watched Katie launch the most successful collection of the season and decided the appropriate response was to drag up Katie’s childhood issues at the breakfast table. She told Donna Logan she did not want to make this about her, blinked twice, and immediately made it about her. She accused Katie of stealing her last name. The last name they share. Through their shared parents.
This is a woman with three failed marriages to the same man, four to his father, a son with said father, and the audacity to lecture anyone in Los Angeles about boundaries or self awareness.

Donna Is the Only Logan With a Working Moral Compass
Donna has been the only Logan with a working moral compass for two weeks straight. Donna sat in that compound and reminded everyone that Katie did not actually steal Eric Forrester‘s designs. Donna defended her sister while Brooke spat at her. Donna comforted Eric while Brooke staged an intervention about a wedding present. Donna is the Logan we should have been rooting for the whole time, and the writers know it because they keep giving her the only sentences in the room that make sense.
Then there is Katie. Katie just got handed a once in a generation career win in a town that has tried to ignore her for forty years. Katie sold out a launch on a livestream. Katie has Bill Spencer building her an empire from the ground up. And Katie’s response to Liam Spencer pitching Hope Logan to her line was: Brooke would kill me. That is not a businesswoman. That is a woman in a hostage negotiation with her older sister. Brooke has the entire Logan family in a chokehold and Katie is the latest victim trying to figure out which way to breathe without setting her off.
Brooke Used Her Own Daughter’s Career as Ammunition
The savage part is what Brooke is doing to Hope. Brooke walked into the Forrester compound and used her own daughter’s career frustration as ammunition for the sister fight. Hope is sidelined at Forrester. Hope is starting to understand how Katie felt. Hope is one Spencer estate dinner away from defecting to Logan Fashions. And Brooke’s response is not to advocate for her own daughter. It is to make Hope a footnote in the larger Brooke versus Katie cinematic universe.
Ridge sat there and absorbed this entire performance. He defended Steffy. He defended Eric. He even defended his own decisions, which is rare. And then, with the calm of a man who has finally seen the bottom of a barrel, he told Brooke she needs therapy.
That is the punchline of the entire week. The most chronically unwell man on this show looked at his wife and said you, specifically, need professional help. He saw a woman so threatened by her own sister having a moment that she will burn every relationship in her life to put it out. He saw a Logan turning into Stephanie Forrester right in front of him. And he flinched.
The Logan Family Has a Brooke Problem and Ridge Said It Out Loud
Donna should be running this family. Katie should be running Logan Fashions without checking in with the Brooke approval committee. Hope should pack her sketchbook and sign with her aunt. And Brooke Logan should sit on a couch and unpack why a younger sister wearing a designer dress sends her into a tailspin worthy of an actual psychological diagnosis.
The Logan family does not have a Katie problem. The Logan family does not have a Hope problem. The Logan family has a Brooke problem and Ridge Forrester just said it out loud on camera. Print the receipt. Frame the receipt. Hang the receipt over the Forrester compound dining table and underline the part where Ridge was correct.
Brooke needs therapy. Donna needs a promotion. Katie needs a new sister. Hope needs a new last name.
