CARTER WALTON IS THE ONLY GROWN UP WITH A LICK OF COMMON SENSE AT FORRESTER

TL;DR: Carter Walton walked into Steffy Forrester’s office on Thursday’s The Bold and the Beautiful, used the Katie Logan precedent to warn her about losing Hope Logan the same way, and got told CEOs do not worry about people’s feelings. Carter has been right about every Forrester crisis of the last year. But nobody is listening to him.

The One Sentence That Should Have Stopped Steffy Cold

Carter Walton walked into Steffy Forrester’s office on Thursday’s The Bold and the Beautiful, pulled out the projections, and used the one word that should have ended every conversation about Hope Logan‘s future. Katie. He told Steffy Forrester Finnegan they could lose Hope the same way they lost Katie Logan. He cautioned her not to alienate her.

Steffy listened to all of it and then told her father that CEOs do not have to worry about people’s feelings.

Carter is the only person at Forrester Creations actually doing his job and nobody in that office is listening to him. He is sitting in the same chair he was in when Eric Forrester walked out, watching the same disaster unfold a second time, and he is the only one who can see the cliff coming.

The Receipts on Carter Being Right About Everything

Let us walk through what Carter has actually been right about.

He warned everybody about pushing Eric out of his own company and Logan launched two weeks later with Eric’s designs on the runway and Bill Spencer’s money behind it.

He cautioned Steffy that Katie Logan walking out was a bigger problem than she wanted to acknowledge. Katie went to Logan and built a competing operation that just delivered numbers so good Liam and Katie marveled at them.

He has been quietly noting the constant shelving of Hope For The Future is creating bigger morale problems than Steffy seems willing to address. Hope has been threatening to walk for weeks. Brooke has agreed she deserves more. Liam is sitting at Logan begging Hope to come work with him. Carter is right again. He has been right about every major business decision Forrester got wrong.

What Steffy Forrester Is Refusing to Hear

Here is the thing about a CEO who tells her father she does not have to worry about people’s feelings. She does. That is literally the job. As is managing people and reading a room well enough to know when your co-CEO is about to walk. Steffy is treating Hope like an intern because she has confused authority with leadership, and Carter is the only person professional enough to keep telling her there is a difference.

When Carter pulled the Katie comparison out, that was him handing Steffy the framework. The Logan walked out. The company suffered. The same thing is happening to Hope. Steffy laughed at it. Then she told Ridge his stepdaughter is “nothing without Forrester” and went back to her projections like the conversation never happened.

That is not a leader navigating a difficult moment. That is a CEO who thinks the company is going to keep running on her instinct alone. The talent leaves. And the only person telling her this is the COO she keeps brushing off.

Carter Walton Deserves a Better Office

The irony of the current Forrester power structure is that Carter is doing the actual work of running this company while two co-CEOs scream at each other and a third person sits in the wings saying she’d like to run the show. He held things together when Eric was being pushed out. Then when Katie left. He is holding things together right now while Hope spirals toward the door.

What does Carter get for being the smartest person in every room? He gets to be told by his CEO that CEOs do not worry about feelings, hand the projections to Ridge, and walk back to his office knowing he just delivered a warning that will be ignored until Hope is sitting at Logan with her own line.

Steffy Forrester is going to lose Hope Logan. She is going to be shocked when it happens. And Carter, who told her exactly how to prevent it, is going to be the one who manages the fallout. The man deserves a raise, a corner office, and a CEO who actually listens.
