The Bold and the Beautiful
Carter Walton’s Lightning Fast Proposal to Daphne Raises Red Flags on Bold and the Beautiful
Carter Walton is proposing to Daphne Rose after dating her for five minutes. Two engagements in two years? Will this backfire?

CARTER WALTON IS PROPOSING AGAIN AND WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT HIS PATTERN ON BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL
TL;DR: Carter Walton is down on one knee for Daphne Rose after dating her for approximately five minutes. Two engagements in two years? This man proposes like other people send texts. Will his rush to lock Daphne down backfire on Bold and the Beautiful*?*
Carter Walton Cannot Stop Proposing
Someone needs to stage an intervention for Carter Walton. The man is proposing to Daphne Rose next week on Bold and the Beautiful, and we need to have a serious conversation about his relationship patterns.
This is the same Carter who was engaged to Hope Logan not that long ago. Before that, there was Zoe. And Paris. And Quinn. The man collects engagement rings like frequent flyer miles. Lawrence Saint-Victor must have a permanent dent in his knee from all the bended-knee action at this point.
Two engagements in two years isn’t romance. It’s a pattern.

Is Carter Afraid to Be Alone?
Let’s be honest about what’s happening here. Carter doesn’t seem capable of being single. The moment one relationship ends, he’s already locking down the next one. He doesn’t date. He doesn’t take time to process. He just proposes to the nearest available woman and hopes for the best.
Daphne is wonderful. She’s talented, she speaks her mind, and she defended Eric when everyone else was trying to force him into retirement. She deserves someone who wants to marry HER, not someone who wants to marry whoever happens to be standing nearby when his last engagement falls apart.
Carter might genuinely have feelings for Daphne Rose. But proposing this fast suggests he’s more interested in not being alone than in actually building something real with her.
Daphne Already Made Him Work for a Kiss
Remember that Daphne turned her cheek when Carter tried to kiss her. She told him if he wants her, he’s going to have to earn it. She seemed to understand that Carter was fresh off his Hope heartbreak and needed to prove his feelings were genuine. That wasn’t that long ago and here we are with Carter trying to rush into a whole marriage!
So what happens when a man who was told to slow down responds by speeding up to marriage? One of two things: either Daphne caves and says yes despite her instincts, or she pumps the brakes and Carter spirals.
Neither option looks great for Carter.
This Could Backfire Badly
Here’s where the speculation gets interesting. What if Daphne says no? Or what if she says yes now and regrets it later when she realizes she’s just the next name on Carter’s proposal list?
Carter’s entire identity seems wrapped up in being someone’s partner. If Daphne rejects him or the engagement falls apart quickly, he might finally have to face the fact that proposing isn’t a personality trait. He might actually have to sit with being single and figure out who he is outside of a relationship.
Or, knowing Carter, he’ll just propose to someone else by the end of the month.
Will Daphne Be Different?
The optimistic take is that Daphne could be the one who finally sticks. Maybe Carter has genuinely found his person and his instinct to lock it down quickly comes from knowing what he wants.
But the realistic take is that patterns don’t break themselves. Carter has been here before, convinced that this time is different, this woman is the one, this proposal will lead to forever. It never does.
Daphne deserves a man who chose her after careful consideration, not a man who chose her because she was available when Hope wasn’t. Whether she realizes that before or after saying yes will determine how this story ends.
Do you think Daphne should say yes? Sound off in the comments!

Carter is a normal, healthy guy who has wanted to be married for a very long time. He just keeps making bad choices in women. I am hoping that Daphne is the right woman for Carter. Carter had not made a secret of the fact that he wants a family, and he is not getting any younger. I think that it is long past time for both Thomas and Carter to be married and settled down, having a family.
