Here is the theory. On The Bold and the Beautiful, Deke Sharpe finally puts himself back out there. He sets up a profile. He uploads a real picture. He answers the questions honestly. He does the work, in good faith, the way a young man in LA does when he is tired of being alone and tired of waiting for someone to walk into his life by accident.

Remy Pryce is watching the whole time.

Remy is not a man with a hobby. Remy is a man with a tendency to stalk, to eavesdrop, to listen from doorways and gather information he should not have. Remy builds a profile. Different name. Carefully crafted bio. Pictures cropped narrowly enough to keep him unidentifiable, taken from angles a casual swiper would never connect to the cousin Melissa Dylan keeps glaring at across the Forrester showroom. He matches with Deke. He starts a conversation. He listens. He reflects. He flirts.

Deke falls for it.

Deke Sharpe is not a stupid man. He is a lonely one. A lonely man with a real phone and a real profile is the easiest mark Remy could have asked for. The two of them message for weeks. Deke tells the mystery man things he has not told anybody else. The man on the other side of the screen, who is supposed to be a stranger, is in fact the one person in LA Melissa Dylan has already warned everybody away from.

The Reveal That Wrecks Him

Eventually Deke demands what every man falling for a phone eventually demands. He wants to meet. He wants to confirm this is real.

This is where it goes nuclear for Deke Sharpe. Deke does not have a bad date. He has weeks of personal disclosures, voice notes, photographs, late night confessions, and emotional intimacy sitting in a phone with the worst person holding every receipt. Remy now has leverage on Deacon’s son. Remy now has a back door into Deacon’s family secrets. Remy now has Melissa Dylan’s cousin sitting two degrees from every Forrester storyline she has been trying to keep him out of.

Deke is humiliated. Furious. Heartbroken. The worst part is that the man Deke fell for over those weeks of messages was technically real. Remy was the one writing. Remy was the one listening. The persona was fake. The conversation was not.

Melissa Dylan warned everybody. Nobody listened. Her cousin would have somebody else’s son in his crosshairs and there is no putting that back in the box.
