Dylan Picked Herself Over Electra

Let’s be REAL for a minute. Melissa Dylan had every shot in the world to do the right thing. The second she figured out Ivy Forrester was playing puppet master with Will Spencer and Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace), she should have run straight to one of them with the truth. A quick confession to Electra would have smoothed things over in a heartbeat and maybe earned Dylan her spot back in the Forrester circle after everything that went down with Luna. Did she take the win? Not even close. Dylan stayed quiet and planted herself right next to Will like a cat waiting for the canary to drop. This was a woman who needed a win, and she was willing to take it at Electra’s expense.

Ivy’s Threats Made It Easy to Play Dirty

Fine, give the woman a sliver of credit. Ivy was dangling real threats, and she’s not exactly known for playing fair. She also handed Dylan a convenient excuse by whispering that Will was fair game and Electra was already ancient history. So Melissa Dylan made her choice. She moved straight into Will’s beach house, flirted her way into his good graces, and sat on the truth like it was a prized possession she’d earned.

Even when she finally packed up and gave Will the space to fix things with Electra, she STILL didn’t come clean. That was opportunity number three, folks, and Dylan ghosted it right out the door. You can almost hear her telling herself it wasn’t her business. Reading between the lines? She just didn’t want to lose her shot at the Spencer prize.

Daphne Rose Walton Blew the Whole Thing Wide Open

Credit where credit is DUE. Daphne Rose Walton (Murielle Hilaire) saw through Ivy’s little act and flat out refused to stay silent. She pushed Electra to confront her aunt and practically handed her the evidence by leading her right to that stolen letter meant for Will. Daphne is officially the hero of this arc, and we are HERE for it.

Now Ivy’s entire house of cards is collapsing fast, and the debris is going to hit everyone in that beach house. And you KNOW Ivy isn’t the type to take a fall alone. This woman plays for keeps. She’s got receipts, and she’s going to spill every last one on her way down.

What’s Next for Melissa Dylan?

Here’s where it gets juicy. Ivy is about to get absolutely torched by Will and Electra on CBS’s flagship daytime drama, and something tells me she’s going to swing wild on her way down. Could this mean Ivy drops Dylan’s name the second she feels cornered? Don’t be surprised if she blurts out that Dylan was in the loop the entire time and never said a single word.

If I know Ivy Forrester, she won’t even apologize. She’ll probably argue that Dylan actually saw her point of view, which, honestly? Not entirely wrong. Reading between the lines, Electra is about to have a brand new target for her rage, and that target has brown hair and guilty eyes.

And Will? He’s going to feel absolutely GUTTED that Dylan let him suffer when one tiny sentence could have saved his relationship months ago. Melissa Dylan gambled on keeping Will by staying silent, and she’s about to lose both him AND her shaky friendship with Electra in the most spectacular fashion possible. Some bets just don’t pay off.
