TL;DR: On the May 22 episode of B&B, Hope weighs a Logan contract that would pull her out of Forrester Creations, while Donna begs her to stay and the family’s old double standard finally boils over.

Why Is Donna So Terrified of Hope Walking Out of Forrester?

Donna Logan is in full meltdown mode because she has decided that protecting Brooke‘s feelings matters more than letting Hope Logan grab a fresh start. On the May 22 episode of the Bold and the BeautifulDonna stormed into the Logan offices and begged her niece to put the pen down, while Bill Spencer and Katie Logan slid a contract across the desk that would finally hand Hope her own line at their rival house. Liam Spencer stood right beside his wife, urging her to sign and walk away from Forrester Creations for good.

Here is where longtime fans are calling foul, and loudly. The Logans and Forresters have stabbed each other in the back for decades, then swept every betrayal under the rug like it never happened. Brooke Logan alone has wrecked this family more times than anyone can count, and she somehow never lost her seat at the table. So why does one career move from Hope suddenly get treated like the bomb that blows up everyone? Even Katie threw that double standard right in Donna‘s face, reminding her that nobody clutched their pearls when Brooke crossed lines far uglier than taking a new job.

What do you think, is Donna defending the family or just defending Brooke? Write to our editor at [email protected] and tell us exactly where you land.

Is Hope a Wronged Victim or the Schemer Who Started This?

The honest answer is both, and that is exactly what makes this storyline impossible to look away from. Hope did not wake up one morning and decide to torch Forrester Creations out of nowhere. Steffy Forrester shelved the Hope for the Future line, and as of the May 21 episode she still flat out refused to promise a relaunch date. That is a genuine grievance, and any designer would be furious.

But the question fans keep circling back to is whether Hope Logan is the pure victim in all of this or the one who lit the match in the first place. The receipts cut both ways. The plan to shove Brooke into a co-CEO chair and push Steffy aside was Hope‘s idea, and Ridge Forrester shot it down cold. The idea of jumping ship to the Logan house started with Liam, not with the aunts now crying betrayal. So when the family paints Hope as the lone wrecking ball, they are conveniently forgetting how many hands helped pour the gasoline.

It also does not help Hope Logan‘s halo that her mother’s promotion would have parked Hope one step from the top of the entire company. Plenty of viewers are convinced this was never really about Brooke earning the recognition she deserves, and everything about Hope grabbing the perks once Brooke held the power. Both reads are sitting right there on screen, and that is exactly why the comment sections are at war.

What’s Next for Hope and the Logan Family War?

Could this mean a full Logan walkout is coming? Do not be surprised if Hope signs with Katie and Bill within days, flipping a family squabble into open corporate warfare. Given Bill‘s history of swinging for the fences, the Logan label is about to get a whole lot bigger and a whole lot meaner, especially with new faces reportedly heading back to town to build out the empire.

And whatever Hope Logan signs next, Donna is going to be planted right in the middle of it, still insisting she is the only one trying to save a family that quietly set fire to itself years ago. The hypocrisy is the real story now, and these writers rarely let a powder keg this loaded sit still for long.

So tell us, is Hope the villain here or the only honest player left standing? Drop your verdict in the comments and let the debate begin.
