The Logan Office Was a Circus

The Logan office was a circus. Donna walked in, took one look at the room, and tried to save her niece from herself. Brooke would be crushed. The family would tear itself in half. The Logan name would never recover. Bill told her to mind her business. Liam told his wife not to get lost in the fear. Katie promised Hope an open checkbook, a corner office, and a contract that named Deke as part of the package.

Hope looked at the money. Hope looked at Liam. Hope thought about her mother climbing into bed with Ridge tonight and choosing him over her one more time. Hope picked up the pen.

The collision is coming this week. Brooke walks in with the good news. Hope feels the blood drain out of her face. Brooke sees it. Brooke asks. Hope has to choose between telling her the truth and watching her find out from the press release.

Hope does not get to keep both contracts. She does not get to keep both families. Hope signed a Logan deal that explicitly competes with the Forrester relaunch she was about to be handed, and the moment Brooke walks in with the timeline, Hope has to either break the news or break the deal.

Either choice ruins her. Telling Brooke means watching her mother realize she sobbed at her for two weeks over a future that was already on the way. Hiding it means going to work at Logan and watching the Forrester press release announce HFTF with somebody else’s name on the cardigan.
