It was the move Liam has been waiting for since April. It was the move every Forrester loyalist has been bracing for since Hope’s line started losing followers. It was also, almost certainly, the worst move of Hope’s career.

The unhinged theory: Hope Logan is about to find out that HFTF was the Forrester name on the door, not the Hope name on the label. No Forrester designer. No Forrester quality. No buyer relationships. The line is going to launch at Logan and flop within a season, because the only thing keeping HFTF alive was the company Hope has spent four months sabotaging.

The Tantrum That Won an Emmy For Nobody

Watch the choreography of today’s hissy fit, because it was textbook Brooke Logan circa 1999. Hope Logan walked into the house, accused her mother of letting her down, refused to listen to anything Brooke said about HFTF coming back, and told her she was parroting Steffy.

When Brooke admitted she and Ridge had sex after the Co-CEO conversation, Hope did the appalled-daughter gasp. Oh please, Brooke said, dryly, because Brooke knows performative scandalization when she sees it. Hope marched out, drove to Logan, and sobbed at Liam about how gullible her mother is for valuing her marriage over her daughter’s career.

Translation: Brooke would not get Hope the title, would not get the immediate HFTF relaunch, and would not blow up her marriage to deliver Hope’s career on a platter. So Hope decided Brooke does not value herself.

Twenty-eight years old and the woman is still calling her mother gullible for not doing exactly what she wanted.

The Defection That Liam Has Been Begging For

Liam took one look at the sobbing wife in his office and said the line he has been practicing for six weeks. You don’t have to go down this road. It’s time to come work with me. Hope said yes. Bill and Katie were across the room calculating overhead and grinning.

Logan now has a designer name on the contract and a roster of Forrester defectors. The Spencers got everything they wanted, and they got it cheap, because Hope handed it to them in tears.

But here is what Liam, Bill, and Katie forgot. They got the brand without the infrastructure. They got Hope without the team. And the team is the part that made HFTF a fashion line and not a Pinterest board.

Hope Has No Designer at Logan

Today in the Forrester showroom Zende told Eric and Ridge he is feeling some kind of way about how crowded Couture has become and admitted he misses the autonomy he had at HFTF. The seed is planted. Hope is going to call Zende the second she signs at Logan.

Zende is going to say no. Because Zende, unlike Hope, can do math. Forrester is a fashion empire. Logan is two siblings and a podcast.

That leaves Hope at Logan with the Hope name and nobody to put it on a dress. Bill will not design. Liam will not design. Katie will not design. Hope herself has spent fifteen years overseeing other people’s designs and acting like she invented the runway. The first Logan-Hope drop is going to come out of Bill’s checkbook and a freelancer’s portfolio.

Buyers will notice. Press will notice. Fashion notices.

HFTF Was the Forrester Name, Not the Logan One

Here is the part Hope is going to spend six months learning the hard way. HFTF was Hope For The Future at Forrester Creations. The credibility was Forrester. The quality was Forrester. The supply chain, the buyer relationships, the publicist, the runway team. All Forrester. The only thing Hope brought to the line was her name on the label.

Strip the Forrester half off and the supply chain is gone. The fabric tier drops. The buyers wait to see if Logan-Hope sells before they commit to volume. The first season ships late. The second does not ship at all. By Christmas, Hope is back at the Forrester estate begging Ridge to take her back and Ridge is laughing.

Hope spent two days sobbing about her mother failing her. Hope is about to spend two years discovering her mother was the one trying to save her.

Bring popcorn. Hope Logan threw the tantrum that got her exactly what she said she wanted, and the joke is about to be on her until the receipts stop coming in. Brooke will pick up the pieces, because that is what mothers do. And Hope will forgive Brooke eventually, after the Logan-Hope line dies, because the woman is gullible. Ask Hope.
