TL;DR: Bold and the Beautiful fans are buzzing with a theory that Ivy Forrester might secretly be Electra Forrester‘s biological mother, not her aunt. With Ivy’s criminal-level obsession over Electra’s love life and the fact that Electra’s mother has NEVER been named on-screen, the clues are impossible to ignore.

Ivy Forrester’s Behavior Has Crossed Every Line

Something is seriously off with Ivy Forrester (Ashleigh Brewer), and Bold and the Beautiful fans have had enough of pretending otherwise. Ever since Ivy returned to Los Angeles with her niece Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace) in October 2024, her involvement in this girl’s life has skyrocketed from concerned family member to full-blown villain territory. Blackmail. Stalking through windows. Stealing private letters. Threatening Daphne Walton into silence. All because Electra started dating Will Spencer (Crew Morrow)?

That level of intensity has fans asking one massive question: What if Ivy Forrester isn’t really Electra‘s aunt? What if she’s her biological mother?

BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL FANS THINK IVY FORRESTER COULD BE ELECTRA FORRESTER’S SECRET MOTHER

Let’s start with the most glaring piece of evidence. Electra Forrester‘s biological mother has never been named. Not once. Not in dialogue, not in a flashback, not even in passing. We know her father is John Forrester Jr., Ivy‘s older brother. But her mom? Total blank slate. And if you’ve watched soaps for any amount of time, you know that kind of deliberate gap doesn’t happen by accident. Writers leave those doors open because they plan to blow them wide open later.

Now the math. It actually works. Ivy‘s birth year is canonically 1988. Electra is 21, placing her birth around 2003 or 2004. That puts Ivy at 15 or 16 years old when Electra came into the world. A concealed teenage pregnancy in Australia, with big brother John stepping in to raise the baby so Ivy Forrester could stay in her child’s life as the “aunt”? That is PEAK soap opera. The genre practically invented that trope.

The Criminal Behavior That Doesn’t Add Up

Think about what Ivy has actually done. She spied on Will and Melissa Dylan through a window during a vulnerable conversation. She blackmailed Dylan into leaving town, driving her into homelessness so severe the woman was living out of her car and dumpster diving behind Il Giardino. When Will wrote Electra a heartfelt letter after their breakup? Ivy Forrester intercepted it. Then threatened Daphne when she got caught.

Does a normal aunt do ANY of that? Blackmail an innocent woman into destitution? Lurk outside windows at night? Steal private letters to sabotage a 21-year-old’s love life? That’s not protective. That’s possessive on a level that screams something deeper is fueling this fire.

The Counter Argument: Trauma Projection

In fairness, there IS another explanation. Ivy went through hell during her first LA stint. Liam Spencer couldn’t commit. Wyatt Spencer proposed then bailed. Steffy Forrester pushed her into the Seine, nearly electrocuted her, and was there when she tumbled down a staircase. So maybe Ivy is projecting all of that onto Will because he carries the Spencer name. Maybe she sees Liam and Wyatt all over again. But even trauma projection has limits. The criminal intensity of her actions feels like something primal. Something maternal.

What If B&B Pulls the Trigger?

If this theory turns out to be true, the fallout would be devastating. Electra is already dealing with deep insecurity from an AI photo scandal that wrecked her reputation in Australia. She just lost Will because of Ivy‘s manipulations. She’s kissing R.J. Forrester in the Forrester Creations showroom because she believes Will abandoned her, when Ivy stole the letter that would’ve changed everything.

Now imagine Electra Forrester discovering the woman she trusted most has been lying about the most fundamental fact of her existence. That’s not just drama. That’s an identity-shattering bomb that could define this character for years. And don’t be surprised if that reveal coincides with the current war between Ridge and Katie Logan over Eric Forrester‘s legacy. The entire Forrester family tree is under siege. A hidden maternity secret would be gasoline on an already raging fire.

As of right now, there’s no DNA test, no adoption reveal, and no confession. Ivy Forrester is canonically Electra‘s paternal aunt. But the writers left Electra‘s maternal history blank, and Ivy‘s behavior defies a simple aunt explanation. Something tells me this story is far from over.
