We would like to suggest it is avoidance.

Hope has evolved past this. She launched a fashion house, stepped into her own power, and stopped waiting. Steffy built an empire. The women around him have done the internal work.

And he is still somewhere trying to figure out how he feels.

Why the Show Needs This to Change

Liam Spencer as a narrative weapon works best when the show is honest about what he is. Not a villain. Not a romantic hero. A man with genuine warmth and a genuine inability to choose himself, which means he never fully chooses anyone else either.

The Logan Designs runway changes the landscape. Hope is no longer waiting. The dynamic that has defined this character for a decade is shifting, and if the writers are paying attention, this is the moment to let Liam Spencer become someone specific instead of someone perpetually in between.

He can be the man who finally picks a lane, or the man the show keeps deploying to generate angst between two women who deserve better. We know which version makes better television.
