What Happened Today
Jessica saw right through Dylan the second Electra Forrester walked out of Bikini. When she asked why Dylan looked so rattled, Dylan admitted Will Spencer isn’t Electra’s boyfriend anymore, and Jessica wasn’t about to let that slide. Will is one of the biggest catches in L.A., she pointed out, and Dylan is clearly crazy about him. Dylan insisted she didn’t want to risk their friendship. Jessica didn’t buy it for a second, and by the end of the conversation, Melissa Dylanadmitted out loud what she’d been dancing around. She can’t let Will go. It feels like he’s the love of her life.
Will showed up not long after, still shaken from the blowup with Bill and his father sending him away to cool off. Dylan told him she was sorry he was going through this with Electra again, and he didn’t argue when she guessed why he needed a drink. Later, she went to the beach house to check on him, told him she thought Electra had overreacted, called him sexy, and made her move. Melissa Dylan finally got what she’s wanted all along.

Where This Could Be Headed
Grief makes people reckless, and Will is drowning in it. He lost Electra, lost his job, and lost his temper all in the same stretch of days, and now the one person telling him he’s still wanted is standing right in front of him with her arms open. It doesn’t take much imagination to see where that leads. Melissa Dylan has spent this entire storyline positioning herself as the shoulder to cry on, and a man this untethered is exactly the kind who mistakes comfort for love.
Here’s the twist nobody’s ready for: Electra walks in on them. Whatever brought her back to the beach house, whether it’s guilt, an unanswered text, or Ridge’s warning finally curdling into doubt, she arrives at the worst possible second and sees everything. And instead of the explosion everyone expects, something else happens. Seeing Will with someone else is the gut punch that clears her head. She stops hearing Ridge’s voice in her ear and starts hearing her own, and what she realizes is that she never actually stopped loving him. Melissa Dylan’s plan may backfire in the cruelest way possible: by finally pushing Electra to fight for Will instead of walking away from him.
