SOMEBODY IS CALLING MELISSA DYLAN THROUGH A VOICE SCRAMBLER

TL;DR: Melissa Dylan picked up the phone on The Bold and the Beautiful and heard a voice she could not recognize. It was scrambled on purpose. The message was four words: “We have some unfinished business.” Somebody from Dylan’s past does not want to be identified, but they want her to know they are coming. Meanwhile, Ivy Forrester admits to Electra that she orchestrated everything and says she would do it again, and RJ Forrester and Will Spencer trade the kind of family insults that do not get walked back.

“Hello?”

Melissa Dylan answered the phone. Nothing unusual about that. But what came through the other end was not a voice she recognized. It was not a voice anyone would recognize. Someone ran their words through a scrambler before calling her, which means this was not impulsive. This was planned. They chose the timing. They chose the words. They chose to make sure Dylan could hear the message but never identify the mouth it came from.

“We have some unfinished business.”

That is not a greeting. That is a warning wrapped in a sentence. Whoever is on the other end of that call knows Melissa Dylan well enough to have unfinished business with her, and dangerous enough to hide behind technology while delivering it. Dylan has been walking through Forrester Creations trying to build a life in Los Angeles, navigating Electra’s resentment and Ivy’s games and Will’s feelings. She has been treated like a woman whose biggest problem is a messy love triangle.

This phone call says Melissa Dylan’s biggest problem has nothing to do with Forrester Creations at all.

Who Is Behind the Scrambler?

The list of possibilities is wide open and that is exactly what makes this terrifying. Melissa Dylan did not arrive in Los Angeles with a fully explained backstory. She showed up and integrated herself into the Forrester world, but her past has never been fully unpacked. There are gaps. There are questions nobody has pressed her on because the drama at Forrester Creations kept everyone too busy to dig.

Somebody just dug.

A voice scrambler means money or means. It means access to equipment that an average person does not pick up casually. It means whoever is calling Melissa Dylan is either connected, resourceful, or both. And “unfinished business” is not a phrase people use about a disagreement over a parking spot. That is a phrase that carries weight. That is a debt, a betrayal, a score, or a secret that somebody has been sitting on and has now decided to collect.

Dylan has no idea who is coming for her. But they know exactly where she is.

“You’re a Spencer! You’re All Sleazy, Greedy!”

While Dylan’s past was calling her through a scrambler, RJ Forrester and Will Spencer were going for blood with their last names as weapons.

RJ did not question Will’s work. He did not challenge his qualifications. He went straight for the bloodline. “You’re a Spencer! You’re all sleazy, greedy!” He hung Will from his father’s reputation and dared him to cut himself loose.

Will Spencer fired back with the sentence designed to hit RJ where it hurts the most. “You’re not even a Forrester.” That is not office banter. That is Ridge’s paternity thrown in RJ’s face like a grenade. These two are not continuing their parents’ war. They are building their own.

Electra Forrester finally said it out loud. “You orchestrated this whole thing!” The intercepted letter. The scheming. The way Ivy Forrester always seemed to be one step ahead of everyone else’s heartbreak.
