The Bold and the Beautiful
B&B’s RJ Forrester Smells Blood in the Water …and It’s Electra’s
B&B’s RJ Forrester gets awfully close to heartbroken Electra right after Eric trashes Will, and the timing is not sitting right at all.

RJ FORRESTER’S TIMING WITH ELECTRA IS NO ACCIDENT
Electra Forrester is heartbroken over Will Spencer, and RJ Forrester has never been closer. Is this comfort, or is he circling?
He Showed Up the Second Will Went Down
RJ Forrester didn’t check on Electra out of nowhere. Eric had finished trashing Will to her face minutes earlier, calling him a hot-headed liability, and RJ was standing right there for all of it.
He told her he’s sure she’s “finally seen the light.” Not “I’m sorry you’re hurting,” not “take your time.” Seen the light, like her heartbreak is a win he’s been personally waiting on for weeks.
That’s not sympathy landing on its own. That’s a scoreboard, and RJ already knows exactly what the score is and who’s ahead.

The Pep Talk That Wasn’t Really About Her
RJ Forrester told Electra she “deserves better than Will.” True, probably. But notice who’s saying it, and notice who’s standing right next to her the moment she’s most vulnerable to hearing it.
He promised her things will get better in time, and that he’ll “be there for her.” Sweet, if it weren’t timed to the exact hour her last relationship imploded in front of everyone.
There’s a version of this where RJ says nothing and lets her breathe for a minute before saying a word. He didn’t pick that version, and that choice says something on its own about what he actually wants here.
Comfort Doesn’t Usually Come With a Countdown
A friend checking in is one thing. A friend who shows up right after your ex gets trashed by his own father, agrees enthusiastically that you’re better off, and immediately promises to fill the gap in your life is something else entirely.
RJ isn’t grieving alongside Electra. He’s auditioning for the next role in her life, and he picked the exact moment she has zero energy left to notice the pitch being made right in front of her.
Eric Cleared the Runway, RJ Is Landing the Plane
Eric didn’t only vent about Will’s temper. He handed RJ Forrester an opening, whether he meant to or not, and RJ took it before Electra even finished processing what had happened to her.
Every “I’ll be there for you” lands differently when it comes seconds after someone else did the demolition work first. RJ didn’t build this moment, but he’s absolutely capitalizing on it right now, and he’s not being subtle about it either.
The Pattern Nobody’s Naming Out Loud
RJ Forrester has a track record of being exactly where Electra is most fragile, ready with the right words at the right second, and it keeps working because nobody around them is calling it what it actually is out loud.
Is RJ genuinely being a good friend to Electra, or is something colder going on here? Tell us in the comments.
The Read You Didn’t Ask For But Need
RJ isn’t circling Electra because he’s patient. He’s circling because he’s paying attention, and patience with a payoff attached isn’t really patience at all. Head to Soap Opera Magazine’s Facebook page and tell us if you’re buying his concern.
