That longing isn’t happening in a vacuum. Earlier, Sheila called Finn to remind him he needs to talk his wife around, and Finn came to Steffy Forrester already leaning her direction. He told her it might be time to let Sheila into their lives, insisting she’s proven herself and that she’s a changed woman. Steffy wasn’t moving an inch. She’s convinced Sheila is playing them to get close to the kids, and she made it clear to Finn that they can’t let her in, not even a crack.

Could Sheila’s Desperation Turn Predatory?
There’s a version of this where Sheila Carter genuinely wants nothing more than a quiet place at the family table. But Sheila Carter has never been a woman who waits patiently for anyone to open a door for her, and a photo-stroking, can’t-lose-him monologue alone in her house is not the behavior of someone content to sit back and hope. The more Steffy blocks her out, the more Sheila’s need to be let in starts looking less like healing and more like hunger.
That’s the real danger here. Steffy already fears Sheila no longer has Deacon around to keep her in check, and she’s right to worry. Desperation this raw doesn’t stay patient forever.
