What Did Steffy Forrester Just Demand From Ridge?
She demanded the truth. Steffy refused to let Ridge dress up her own demotion as some kind of tribute to his wife. When he tried to compare himself and Brooke to his late mother Stephanie and Eric Forrester, Steffy cut him off cold and told him not to dare pretend he was recreating that legacy. She reminded him that Brooke has been chosen above Taylor‘s family every single time he has had to pick. She made him sit in it. And she made it clear that this time, the cost would be permanent.
The fandom is melting down. The Bridge fan camp on Soap Central forums is dragging Ridge as a “disgusting horrid father.” The Sridge fan camp is firing right back that Steffy is the one who keeps dividing the family every single time. Will Ridge Pick Brooke Logan or Steffy Forrester?
Reading between the lines, Ridge is about to disappoint someone, and the smart money says it is his wife. Friday’s episode is teed up as the decision drop, with Ridge expected to slam the brakes on Brooke‘s co-CEO plan. He even brought home a custom-designed gown to Brooke on Thursday as a peace offering, which has gown-as-bribe written all over it. You do not show up with couture unless you are about to break someone’s heart.
Could this mean Steffy keeps her seat and Brooke walks away furious? Don’t be surprised if Brooke takes the “no” and runs straight to Katie‘s rival Logan label to plot her revenge. Given Brooke‘s history, she does not lose quietly. And if I know these writers, Hope Logan is already lining up her next play before the credits even roll on Friday. The Logan women do not retreat. They regroup.
Something tells me this isn’t really about the corner office at all. It is about Ridge finally being forced to answer the question every Taylor kid has been asking him for thirty years. Pick a side, Dad. We are watching.
