Steffy Forrester Just Traded One Lie For A Bigger One

Steffy Forrester didn’t crack today because Daphne pushed too hard, she cracked because Finn walked into the room at the exact moment she had nowhere left to hide. He found her doubled over, panting, clearly falling apart, and instead of finally telling him the truth sitting right there in her body, she looked her husband in the eye and told him she wants to be Carter Walton and Daphne Rose‘s surrogate. Finn’s response was one word: “You?” He has no idea that word is about to define his entire marriage.

That’s the trap Steffy just built for herself with her own hands. She told Carter she can’t give away her DNA, that this isn’t fate, that they cheated and now they’re choosing to lie for the rest of their lives. Carter Walton Gets To Play House While Steffy Falls Apart Alone

While Carter strolls into the Forrester office mooning over a photo of Steffy and telling Ridge that the woman meant to complete his family “is out there somewhere,” the actual woman is at home shaking, lying to her husband’s face, and absorbing every bit of the fallout by herself. Carter gets Daphne’s tears of joy and a baby he’ll get to raise. Steffy gets morning sickness she has to explain away, a husband who thinks her trauma is about Monaco, and a countdown to a due date that isn’t hers to keep secret forever.

Daphne walked out of that cliff house believing she just witnessed the most selfless act of her life. She has no idea the friend she just hugged is handing over her own baby to avoid confessing an affair.

Finn’s Timing Could Not Be Worse For Steffy

Here’s where it gets even messier. Word is Finn is about to sit Steffy down and ask her not to go through with the surrogacy at all, worried about what it’ll do to her when she’s already this fragile. He’ll think he’s protecting his wife from a decision that’s too much for her right now. What he won’t know is that talking her out of “helping Carter and Daphne” might actually be the only thing standing between Steffy and handing away their own child. Steffy Forrester‘s husband could accidentally save her from Carter’s plan while having no idea that’s what he’s doing, and B&B fans watching this unfold are not going to see that coming.
