John Abbott’s Memory Takes Over the Abbott Estate
Genoa City nearly lost Jack Abbott this week, and somehow that’s exactly what it takes for John Abbott to feel present in every room of this family’s life again. Asleep in his hospital bed, Jack dreams first of Patty stabbing him, flinching in pain, and then the dream shifts entirely: to his father, and how John got the company back for him.
Across town at the Abbott estate, Traci Abbott and Ashley Abbott can’t stop thinking about him either. Traci flashes back to John’s advice about Brad and the baby, certain things would have played out differently if he’d been around longer. Ashley remembers her father’s support through her cancer fight, how he always made his kids feel like they could handle anything. She admits, tearfully, that she doesn’t think she’s lived up to his example. Her sisters won’t let her believe that for a second.
Waking up alone, Jack wishes he could see his dad one more time, then gets a text that pulls him right back into the family John built in the first place.

Kyle Abbott Wants Revenge
At Society, Kyle Abbott and Billy order drinks and try to process the day. Kyle admits how hard it was to face nearly losing his dad without getting to say goodbye. Billy Abbott reminds him Jack is irreplaceable, the one who always shows up to pick everyone back up, pointedly including the fact that he saved Diane today without even fully registering it yet.
The conversation turns unexpectedly sincere. Billy admits he felt replaced when Kyle was born, that he gave Jack a hard time he had no business giving, and that uncle and nephew have made a lot of the same mistakes over the years. Then Kyle pivots hard: someone needs to pay for what almost happened to his dad, and that means going after Victor. Billy calls Victor his nephew’s Moby Dick and warns him that wanting revenge and actually getting it are two very different things, one that could hurt a lot of people Kyle loves along the way.
Kyle has no plan yet. He’s waiting for his parents to recover first. But he asks Billy to help him take Victor down, and Billy turns him down flat. Kyle isn’t backing off.
Diane Jenkins Comes Home to a Full House
Back at the hospital, Jack wakes up to find Diane Jenkins at his side, refusing to leave even when he tells her to get some sleep. He wonders aloud if he really deserved to survive after everything he did to Patty years ago, but Diane’s focused on their future, not his guilt. He promises Patty will never touch them again. Abby Newman drops by after Diane heads home, tearfully telling her uncle how grateful she is he’s still here, and admitting under gentle pressure that Devon’s going through a rough patch.
At the estate, Lauren Fenmore, Ashley, and Traci arrive ready for a drink after the day they’ve had. They admire the cleaning crew’s work undoing whatever Patty left behind and half-jokingly spread salt around the house to clear out her energy for good. Lauren admits she’s always been a little jealous of the Abbott sisters’ bond, growing up an only child herself.
Diane arrives, relieved and a little loopy from her meds, and the sisters make it official: she saved Jack’s life, which makes her an Abbott too. Diane bursts into tears. Traci holds her. Lauren gets crowned an honorary Abbott in the same breath, and the whole group takes a selfie to send to Jack, who’s still lying in his hospital bed missing his father and about to get exactly the reminder he needs of the family John left behind.
