Let’s break down what happened: While Kyle was busy dealing with yet another of Summer Newman’s so-called “emergencies” about Harrison Abbott, Claire found herself alone at the bar where the charming Holden Novak swooped in with perfect timing. That Vesper cocktail recommendation? Smooth move, buddy!

SUMMER’S “EMERGENCIES” AREN’T FOOLING ANYONE

I mean, COME ON! Summer’s latest crisis was about Harrison potentially hearing about his missing grandmother from classmates? What 7-year-old discusses unsolved missing persons cases on the playground?! This transparent attempt to pull Kyle away from Claire was about as subtle as Victor Newman in a boardroom takeover.

But here’s the thing – it WORKED. Kyle abandoned his date, leaving Claire vulnerable to the charms of a handsome stranger. And from the preview for next week, it looks like Summer’s about to pull the same trick again with her concerns about Phyllis potentially being in danger.

Here’s my prediction: Kyle’s jealousy is about to reach NUCLEAR levels. But here’s his problem – the more he lets his possessive side show, the more he rushes to Summer’s side for every fake emergency, the more he pushes Claire directly into Holden’s path.

With Summer creating endless distractions and Kyle continuously abandoning Claire, it’s only a matter of time before she and Holden find themselves alone again. And we all know what happens next in soap land – THE KISS that changes everything!
