A DAYTIME ICON RETURNS TO GENOA CITY, A DANGEROUS EX HITS SALEM, AND PORT CHARLES SAYS GOODBYE TO A LEGEND IN THIS WEEK’S COMINGS AND GOINGS

TL;DR: This week’s comings and goings across daytime are absolutely loaded. Shemar Moore is bringing Malcolm Winters home to The Young and the Restless with Vivica A. Fox on his arm. A kidnapper is loose on Days of Our Lives. Port Charles mourns Anthony Geary. And Beyond the Gates celebrates its first birthday with maximum chaos.

The Young and the Restless: Shemar Moore Is Coming Home

The biggest comings and goings news this week belongs to The Young and the Restless. Shemar Moore is heading back to Genoa City as Malcolm Winters, and this is not a one-day pop-in. Moore has already begun filming a multi-episode arc as Lily Winters‘ biological father. The actor originally played Malcolm from 1995 to 2005 and last graced Genoa City during Y&R’s 50th anniversary in 2023. The man, the legend, the cheekbones. He’s back.

Joining him is Vivica A. Fox, returning as Dr. Stephanie Simmons. Fox briefly played Stephanie from 1994 to 1995 when her character dated Malcolm. According to an official release, Malcolm and Stephanie’s return will have “shocking and lasting implications” for the residents of Genoa City. When a show puts out a press release using those exact words, you sit up straight and pay attention.

Matt Cohen returns as Detective Burrow, sharing scenes with Nick NewmanSharon NewmanNoah Newman, and Sienna on Thursday, February 26. And Roger Howarth is back filming as the dangerous Matt Clark. Whatever this man is scheming against the Newmans, it’s not over.

General Hospital: Farewells, Breaks, and Britt Needs Her Mother

The comings and goings for General Hospital this week hit every emotional register. Friday, February 20 marked the show’s final tribute to the late Anthony Geary, the iconic actor who passed away on December 14, 2025. Port Charles said goodbye to the man who made Luke Spencer a legend, and if you weren’t crying, you weren’t watching.

On the departures front, Steve Burton has announced he’ll be taking a break from the show until summer. The actor is stepping back to spend time with his new wife, and while his final airdate hasn’t been confirmed yet, we’ll keep fans updated. Jason Morgan stans, stock up on tissues.

Kathleen Gati is back as Liesl Obrecht, and there’s a reason. Look for her onscreen daughter, Kelly Thiebaud’s Britt Westbourne, to seek her mother’s help on Friday, February 27. Whatever Britt is dealing with, it’s big enough to call Mama Obrecht, and that should terrify everyone in Port Charles.

Viron Weaver pops in as Wiley Corinthos on Monday, February 23, sharing scenes with Katelyn MacMullen’s Willow Tait. And Nazneen Contractor reappears as Justine Turner, interacting with Dominic Zamprogna’s Dante on Monday.

Days of Our Lives: A Kidnapper, a Kiriakis Reunion, and a DiMera Exit

The comings and goings for Days of Our Lives this week bring danger and departures in equal measure. Wes Ramsey returns as Owen Kent, Stephanie’s dangerous ex, and he is here to kidnap her. That is not speculation. That is what is happening. Strap in, Salem.

Wally Kurth and Judi Evans resurface as Justin and Bonnie Kiriakis on Monday, February 23, sharing scenes with Carson Boatman’s Johnny and Robert Scott Wilson’s Alex. Hank Northrop gets more airtime as Liam Selejko on Wednesday, February 25, crossing paths with Dan Feuerriegel’s EJ and Marissa Reyes’ Ari. And Peter Porte continues his run as Dimitri Von Leuschner, reconnecting with his ex Leo on Wednesday and Friday. Claude George Jr. appears as Officer Hansen on Monday and Tuesday.

On the exit front, Matthew Ashford and Melissa Reeves have wrapped their visit as Jack and Jennifer Deveraux. The door remains open for Salem’s favorite couple. Billy Flynn also exited as Chad DiMera on February 17, alongside his onscreen children Thomas (Cary Christopher) and Charlotte (Autumn Gendron). Salem just got a little quieter.

The Bold and the Beautiful: Forrester Creations Is Staffing Up

The comings and goings for The Bold and the Beautiful are light but fun this week. Savannah Leigh James returns as Forrester Creations receptionist Jamie on Tuesday, February 24, sharing scenes with RJ and Carter Walton. Jade Coatsworth also returns as intern Kingsley that same day, appearing opposite RJ, Carter, and Jamie. Whatever is brewing at Forrester, the supporting players are assembling.

Beyond the Gates: A One-Year Anniversary, a Cotillion Rivalry, and a Courageous Confession

Beyond the Gates celebrates its one-year anniversary on Tuesday, February 24, and the drama is showing up dressed for the occasion. Dominique Madison’s Lynette stirs up trouble for Hayley on the big day. Vanessa’s son Donnell is home from college, with Alex Cheeks sharing scenes with Lauren Buglioli’s Vanessa. And at Orphey Gene’s, the cotillion rivalry between Samantha and Chessie (Madison Alsobrook) is heating up.

Monday brings a CBS crossover as EGOT winner Anita Williams Dupree goes public with her cancer diagnosis in an interview with CBS Mornings’ Gayle King. Jasmine Burke’s June gives Jon Lindstrom’s Joey Armstrong some invaluable information, and Najah Jackson’s Samantha struggles to balance school and life. If bio mom and daughter connect, expect feelings.

@soapoperamag Victoria making unilateral… decisions about the kids without even a conversation with Billy is BOLD. Nate clocked it immediately — is this about protecting them or punishing their father? Because it's giving revenge disguised as parenting. #YR ♬ original sound – Soap Opera Magazine
