Phyllis stole Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) proprietary AI software. She sold it to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) thinking she could leverage her way into running Jabot. That backfired spectacularly. And now she is making backroom deals with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) to STEAL IT BACK in exchange for what Billy is calling “generational wealth.”

Daniel Romalotti Has Had Enough

When Daniel confronted his mother at the GCAC, he did not mince words. He told Phyllis straight up that he and Summer know she stole Cane’s program. He knows his mama. He knows she is in the middle of this mess.

And how did Phyllis respond? She tried to change the subject by bringing up Daniel’s relationship with Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks). Classic deflection. Make it about HIM instead of taking any accountability for the chaos SHE created.

But Daniel was not having it. He warned her that attacking Jabot will destroy Summer’s career. He told her this scheme will blow up in her face. He basically gave her the same lecture he has been giving her for YEARS.

Phyllis Plays the Victim Card

The audacity of Phyllis asking Daniel why he was saying such horrible things about his mother. THIS WOMAN stole intellectual property. She got dumped by Cane when he found out about her betrayal. She is currently unemployed and making desperate deals with Billy Abbott.

And she has the nerve to act WOUNDED? To play the victim? To act like her son calling her out on documented criminal behavior is somehow disrespectful?

Phyllis refused to share the details of her plan with Daniel. She just told him she has a way to fix everything and that it will benefit the family. Where have we heard THAT before? Every single time Phyllis promises her schemes will work out, someone in her family ends up paying the price.

Is Daniel Right to Lecture His Mother?

Look. Some fans are saying Daniel is being annoying. That he should mind his own business. That he is always nagging his mother about the same things.

But here is the counterpoint. How many times does Daniel Romalotti have to tell Phyllis the same thing before she actually listens? How many times does he have to parent his own mother before he finally walks away? The answer apparently is infinite. Because Phyllis at her age STILL has to be told over and over by her child to stop making destructive choices.

The role reversal in this family is honestly sad to watch. Daniel deserves a mother who protects HIM. Instead he got one who constantly needs to be protected from herself.
