Daniel Romalotti Has a Type, and It’s Whoever Is Married and Works at Society

Here we go again. Daniel Romalotti has been circling women connected to Society, and this time his attention has landed on Abby Newman, who happens to be married to Devon Winters, and who very much seems uninterested in giving Daniel any reason to think otherwise. If this feels like something you have watched before, that is because you have. Daniel has done this dance with Tessa Porter too, and let’s say that story did not end the way he was hoping. He walked away from that one with nothing, and yet here he is again, orbiting the exact same restaurant with the exact same energy.

The pattern is not subtle at this point. Daniel Romalotti gravitates toward Society, toward the women who run it, own it, or manage it, and somehow every single time it ends in a mess that leaves him exactly where he started, unemployed and pining after someone who was never actually available to begin with, no matter how the story is dressed up in the moment. This is not romance. This is a routine, and at this point it might as well come with its own theme music.

He Never Learns

Here is what makes this so exhausting to watch, especially for fans who have followed his ups and downs for years. It would be one thing if he picked a woman at random and things happened to go sideways once. It is a completely different thing when the pattern is this specific and this repeated. Married. Runs Society or works there. Completely unavailable.

Every single time, and every single time he acts surprised when it blows up in his face, as though the previous attempt taught him nothing at all about how these situations tend to end.

The Nickname Fits

Abby Newman is married to Devon Winters, a man who does not strike anyone as the type to shrug off a rival circling his wife. If Daniel Romalotti genuinely thinks this ends differently than it did with Tessa, he has not been paying attention to his own history. The nickname stuck for a reason.

A man wandering from one married Society woman to the next, with nothing to show for it but heartbreak and unemployment, has earned every bit of the Town Hobo label fans keep giving him, and at some point the joke stops being funny and starts being a genuine cry for someone to sit him down and have an intervention.

Our Take: He Needs a New Hobby

Daniel Romalotti clearly has talent and clearly has charm, but none of that matters if he keeps aiming it at women who are married and running the one restaurant he cannot seem to stay away from. Abby Newman deserves better than being the next stop on this particular tour, and honestly, so does he.

He’s not actually stupid, and yet he keeps letting his personal life derail every fresh start he gets, with Society always being the exact place where that derailment starts. Find a new watering hole. That restaurant has given him nothing but heartbreak so far, and there is no reason to believe this next one ends any better than the last.
