EILEEN DAVIDSON’S SCARY SPILL SENDS THE Y&R STAR INTO SURGERY AND RECOVERY

TL;DR: Eileen Davidson, who plays Ashley Abbott on Y&R, revealed she fractured her patella slipping while getting out of a cold plunge, and is now recovering from surgery. She’s already finding the humor in it, and her famous friends flooded the comments with love.

The Slip Heard Round the Cold Plunge

Eileen Davidson has never been afraid to laugh at herself, and that hasn’t changed with a fractured knee. The actress shared on Instagram that she slipped getting out of a cold plunge and fractured her patella, an injury serious enough to require surgery. She thanked the EMTs and the team at Los Robles Hospital, joking that “those moves” — caught mid-fall in her own post — are officially off the table for a while.

Eileen posted a before-and-after pair captioned “How It Started” and “How It’s Going,” pairing the dramatic tumble with a shot of her leg braced up in a car afterward, crutches at her side. She says she’s down for the count for a few weeks while she heals, but her sense of humor clearly made it through unscathed.

Her Friends Showed Up In The Comments

The support poured in fast. Lauralee Bell, who plays Christine Blair alongside Eileen Davidson on Y&R, wrote that she was wishing her a speedy recovery and that she’d “get her groove back” in time. Stephen Nichols, known to DAYS fans as Steve Johnson, sent love and healing vibes her way too, and Katherine Kelly Lang chimed in hoping for a fast bounce-back.

Between the on-set injury humor and the daytime family showing up for her, Eileen Davidson turned a genuinely painful fall into a moment that felt more like a soap plot twist than a scary night at the hospital.
