The world of Genoa City is never short on drama and excitement, and the latest event hosted by Nikki and Victor is no exception. Young & Restless fans can expect a wild ride with the unexpected return of Leanna Love, played by Barbara Crampton.

Leanna is on the lookout for a big scoop and is determined to find one, causing trouble wherever she goes. Her character was first introduced in 1987 and was initially obsessed with former psychiatrist Steven Lassiter, who was involved with Ashley Abbott. However, over time, Leanna underwent a metamorphosis and became known for her manipulative nature, turning into more of a wily vixen.

One of Leanna’s most memorable moments on the show was writing Victor Newman’s autobiography, Ruthless, in which she inserted an unauthorized chapter about his affair with Ashley and the aftermath. This caused significant problems for Victor and Ashley, and fans can expect Leanna’s presence at Nikki and Victor’s event to lead to unexpected revelations and drama.

Returning to the set after 14 years was a surreal experience for Crampton, who had her first scene with Peter Bergman, who plays Jack on the show. Leanna had to cross paths with her ex-husband, Victor, played by Eric Braeden, who even improvised some of his lines during their scenes together, making them even more exciting.

Crampton has made a name for herself in the horror genre since leaving Young & Restless, starring in several other soap operas, including Bold & Beautiful, Guiding Light, and Days of Our Lives. Her next project is the thriller Suitable Flesh, based on an H.P. Lovecraft story, where she returns to her roots, having appeared in other Lovecraft adaptations such as Re-Animator and From Beyond.

Despite her busy schedule, Crampton never says never to returning to Genoa City on a more permanent basis, and her return to the show is highly anticipated by fans. Young & Restless has seen a resurgence of beloved characters returning to the screen in recent months, with Crampton’s role as Leanna Love being just one example of this trend.

Crampton asks not to be referred to as a “scream queen,” preferring the term “final girls” to convey the strength of characters in peril. Fans can expect Leanna to be a strong and manipulative character, causing trouble and excitement wherever she goes. The return of beloved characters is always a source of excitement for fans of Young & Restless, and Crampton’s return to the show is sure to provide plenty of drama and entertainment for viewers.
