MARIAH COPELAND TOLD DOMINIC THEY ARE GOING TO THE BEST HIDEOUT EVER IN A DIFFERENT COUNTRY ON THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

TL;DR: Mariah Copeland is no longer just running from Genoa City on The Young and the Restless โ€” she is taking Dominic out of the country entirely. According to upcoming spoilers, she tells him they are going to “the best hideout ever” in a different country. This just became an international kidnapping.

Mariah Is Leaving the Country With Dominic

The situation just escalated beyond anything Abby, Devon, or anyone in Genoa City could have imagined. Mariah Copeland is not hiding in a motel somewhere. She is not driving aimlessly through the Midwest. She is taking Dominic out of the country.

According to The Young and the Restless spoilers from the What’s Next video, Mariah tells Dominic they are going to “the best hideout ever” โ€” a different country entirely.

This is no longer a custody dispute that went wrong. This is an international kidnapping. And once Mariah crosses that border with Dominic, getting him back becomes exponentially harder.

Ian Ward’s Voice Is Still in Her Head

Mariah has been hallucinating Ian Ward since she took Dominic. He has been riding shotgun in her car, encouraging herto “claim the son that is rightfully hers.” He has been telling her that pain is necessary for growth. He has been validating every dark impulse she has.

And now his voice is telling her to leave the country.

Mariah was raised in Ian’s cult. She knows how to disappear. She knows how to live off the grid. She knows how to run. If Ian Ward is the voice guiding her decisions right now โ€” even if he is just a hallucination โ€” then Mariah is capable of vanishing in ways that would make her almost impossible to find.

Abby and Devon Are Running Out of Time

Abby and Devon just made a public video plea begging for help finding Dominic. They hired Detective Burrow. They have been trying to piece together where Mariah might go based on her mental state and history.

But none of that matters if Mariah gets on a plane.

Once she crosses an international border, American law enforcement has limited jurisdiction. If she goes somewhere without an extradition treaty โ€” or somewhere she can disappear into a new identity โ€” Dominic could be gone for good.

The clock is not just ticking. It is about to run out.

“I’ll Die Before That Happens”

Mariah told a sleeping Dominic that nobody will ever take him away from her again. “I’ll die before that happens,” she promised. “That’s mommy’s promise to you.”

This is not a woman who is thinking clearly. This is not a woman who can be reasoned with. This is a woman who has convinced herself that taking Dominic was an act of love, and she is willing to do whatever it takes to keep him.

Including leaving everything and everyone she has ever known behind.

Including Tessa. Including Sharon. Including her entire life in Genoa City.

If Mariah is willing to walk away from all of that, what else is she willing to do?

Sharon Blames Herself

According to spoilers, Sharon blames herself for Mariah’s actions. She has been agonizing over not visiting Mariah in Boston, wondering if her presence could have prevented this breakdown.

But Sharon is also wondering something else: did someone plant this idea in Mariah’s head?

Tessa suggested that meeting a man who resembled Ian Ward during Mariah’s business trip may have triggered something. Sharon knows that this kidnapping “sounds like Ian.” The question is whether Ian Ward is truly just a hallucination โ€” or if something more sinister is at play.

Either way, Mariah is about to take Dominic across an international border. And nobody knows where they are going.
