EXCLUSIVE WEDNESDAY CANADIAN Y&R DAY-AHEAD: Mariah Copeland Has Dominic at a Motel While Devon and Abby Call the Police

Dominic offered Mariah one of his cookies and told her this was the best game of hide-and-seek ever and I genuinely had to pause the episode because my heart couldn’t take it. Do you think Devon and Abby will figure out it was Mariah before it’s too late?

Devon and Abby Are Living Every Parent’s Nightmare

Night has fallen on Genoa City and Devon and Abby are absolutely spiraling because their son is nowhere to be found. Devon tried to stay calm at first, suggesting Dominic was just hiding somewhere in the house, but Abby was NOT having it. She called him out immediately for pretending he wasn’t just as terrified as she was.

They searched everywhere with flashlights and came up empty. That’s when Abby spotted a scarf that didn’t belong to anyone in their household. Devon called Louise to check, and she confirmed it wasn’t hers.

Abby completely broke down because she KNEW what this meant. Someone had been watching them. Someone had been waiting. And that someone took their son.

The cops are now involved, and both Devon and Abby found themselves wishing Chance was still around to help. Abby prayed for Chance to be Dominic’s guardian angel and keep him safe wherever he is. Devon promised they would find their son, but we could see the fear in his eyes.

Mariah Copeland Is Already Cracking

Over at a motel room, Mariah Copeland arrived with Dominic and immediately started second-guessing everything. While Dominic washed his hands, she flashed back to giving birth to him and then snapped back to reality wondering what the hell she had done.

Ian Ward appeared like the snake he is and told her this was no time to lose her resolve. He reminded her that she finally has a family again, but Mariah Copeland knows the hardest part isn’t over.

When Mariah pointed out that Dominic would soon start asking questions about why he isn’t being reunited with his parents, Ian Ward told her she would think of a plausible reason in time. He urged her to think quickly and get back on the road.

Mariah Copeland broke down crying and asked how she ever thought she could pull this off. She knows Dominic will NEVER believe that Devon and Abby don’t want to see him again. But Ian Ward had an answer for that too, telling her that all children worry about being abandoned by their parents and that she can be there for him in ways no one else can.

It’s absolutely sickening to watch him manipulate her like this.

Dominic Thinks This Is All a Game

The most heartbreaking part of this whole thing is that Dominic has NO idea what’s happening. He thinks they’re playing the best game of hide-and-seek ever. He offered Mariah Copeland one of his cookies and told her how much fun he was having.

When he asked if his mom was coming soon, Mariah lied and said Devon and Abby called and were running late. She told him they needed to find a new hiding spot and wouldn’t tell him where because she didn’t want to spoil the surprise.

Dominic’s only concern was that his parents wouldn’t be able to find him if they went too far away. Mariah promised he would love how this game ends, and honestly, we wanted to reach through our screens and shake some sense into her.

Victoria Is Ready for War

In other news, Victoria ran into Nate at Crimson Lights and vented about the Newman empire crumbling. She told him about her confrontation with Phyllis and admitted that Victor and Adam have some secret plan that she’s been excluded from. Victoria declared that if her father won’t let her in on his plan, she’ll come up with one of her own.

Over at Society, Sally offered Audra a job at Abbott Communications, which Audra accepted immediately. They also ran into Victoria and Nate, and Sally warned Victoria that things aren’t looking good for the Newmans right now.

Victoria made it crystal clear that Chancellor belongs to her mother and she WILL get it back.

Is Mariah Copeland too far gone to save at this point? Sound off!
