What’s Known So Far
Per the outlet, police were called out to the scene on the night of July 8 to investigate a physical altercation. So far, nobody has confirmed who Brenda Dickson is accused of striking, or what sparked the confrontation in the first place.
Long before this arrest made news, Dickson built her name playing Jill Abbott on Y&R starting with the show’s very first season in 1973. She stuck around through 1980, then returned for another run from 1983 to 1987, and Jill has stayed on the canvas ever since, currently portrayed by Jess Walton, while Brenda Dickson herself branched out into primetime work on titles like Falcon Crest and Love, American Style.
Legal trouble isn’t new territory for Brenda Dickson. Back in 2007, a contempt-of-court finding connected to her divorce proceedings sent her to a Hawaii jail cell for several months, a ruling an appellate court threw out in 2009 after finding the trial judge failed to protect her right to a fair process.
