The Cops Descend on a Bloodbath at the Abbott Estate
Home sweet horror. Jack Abbott wakes up bleeding out on his own floor, clawing at a tablecloth to flag down help, when Diane Jenkins and Kyle Abbott finally walk through the door. Kyle spots his father first, screams for an ambulance, and Diane drops to her knees begging Jack to open his eyes. When she finds the knife beside him, she does not need a detective to tell her whose handiwork this is.
Turns out the police and paramedics are already on the way, called in by a hysterical woman, and Kyle warns the cops she may still be lurking in the house. He is right. They find Patty Williams upstairs, drenched in blood, wailing for help and spinning a tale that Diane is the real attacker who came at her and Jack with a knife.
Detective Burrows walks into a screaming match for the ages. Patty Williams waves her bloody arms and insists none of this is her fault, demanding Diane be arrested on the spot. Diane shudders as the sick genius of it lands, Patty is trying to pin an attempted murder on her, and the blood on Patty’s own hands has the detective genuinely stumped.
The paramedics lose Jack’s pulse and manage to shock him back, then wheel him out as Patty Williams is dragged down the stairs past him. The two women lunge and shriek accusations of attempted murder until Burrows bellows at them both to stop. Nobody is going anywhere, he decides, until somebody starts telling the truth. Patty Williams, of course, keeps chanting that Diane is guilty.

Matt Charms His Way Into a Date With Phyllis
Over on the Crimson Lights patio, Matt Clark and Phyllis Summers sip coffee while she promises not to blow his cover with Cane. She presses him on Victor’s endgame, he dodges, and she warns him that Cane and Victor are both terrible picks for friends. Matt insists he is clawing out of a personal nightmare and refuses to build a new life on anyone’s handouts.
Later at The Shadow Room, the flirtation gets bolder. When Noah Newman bristles at Matt turning up on his turf, Phyllis leaps to his defense, vouching that he has changed. Matt thanks her, then keeps poking at why she cares how the world sees him, since the last time she claimed to care, she clocked him over the head.
She admits she understands his pain and sees the mask he wears, and she is genuinely fascinated by what hides behind it. He fires back that she is far too gorgeous for his own good, clouding his judgment. By the end, she says yes to a date, and this deliciously doomed pairing is officially a thing.
Audra Sinks Her Claws In as Sienna Simmers
At The Shadow Room, Sienna Bacall is on the phone with Noah when Audra Charles saunters in, and the temperature drops twenty degrees. The two trade barbs, both claiming they are not in the mood, while Audra scans the room and Sienna pointedly informs her that Noah is not there.
When Noah does arrive, he breezes right past Audra to kiss his girlfriend, then explains that Nikki Newman had a procedure. Audra, ever the opportunist, later corners him alone, cooing about how worried she is over everything he has been through and offering herself up as a friend he can lean on.
She takes his hand for that last little dagger, and across the room Sienna watches the whole thing with a glare that could strip paint. Audra knows exactly what she is doing, and she is playing a very long game.
