That is not a woman who is going to fold into anyone’s safe domestic routine. That is a woman with an agenda, a past, and absolutely no interest in being predictable. She knows things about Adam that Chelsea has never had to reckon with. The Sally Situation Deserves Honesty

We are not here to be cruel about Sally Spectra. Sally is a genuinely compelling character, and the chemistry between her and Adam was real. The fans who have been demanding a reboot are not wrong for wanting it.

The writers are never going to deliver it. That is the honest truth that the comment sections across every Y&R platform have been circling around for two years without quite landing on. The show keeps Sally adjacent to Adam without ever closing the distance. It keeps the possibility warm without ever igniting it. Sally is currently dating Billy Abbott, who is having his own hero moment back in Genoa City, and the reboot that fans have been waiting for is not on the horizon.

There is a difference.

Riza exists in the Spider world, the part of Adam’s history that is dark and unresolved and genuinely dangerous. She is connected to Matt Clark, which means she is connected to the most urgent storyline the show has running right now. She is not a Genoa City woman with a Genoa City history waiting for Adam to choose her. She is something entirely new, and the show has not given Adam something entirely new in a very long time.

Sally Spectra has no idea any of this is happening. She is in Genoa City, dating Billy Abbott, while a woman with one name and zero boundaries is rewriting Adam Newman’s entire storyline in Las Vegas.

We are completely here for it. The reboot can wait. Riza cannot.
