Summer Newman seems to be using Harrison as a pawn to keep Kyle and Claire apart, while grandfather Victor approves of her Newman-style chess moves. Is Kyle too blind to see what his ex-wife is doing?

Unfortunately, if Young & the Restless fans had really been taken a swig every time Summer Newman says “my son,” they will soon have a drinking problem like one of the many Nikki Newman has had over the years. Speaking of Nikki Newman, her husband’s apples don’t fall from the tree. Just as The Mustache has been using friends & family all over Genoa City as his pawns, Summer Newman is using “her son” Harrison as her pawn. Shocking… Kyle Abbott is still an idiot & has not figured it out.
Like Grandfather, Like Granddaughter & Their Pawns to Play
Summer Newman’s (Allison Lanier) grandfather Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has been using friends & family as real-life pawns to do everything in his power to do whatever he wants whenever he wants to whoever he wants. Well, that apple hasn’t fallen far from the tree. Victor’s granddaughter Summer doesn’t realize that she is also one of her grandfather’s pawns yet is using “her son” Harrison (Redding Munsell) as her pawn.
Summer Doesn’t Want Kyle or Kyle With Anyone Else
Young & the Restless fans across social media are speculating that Summer Newman wants her ex-husband Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) back. Does she really? Or, does she just want Kyle to be alone? Or, does Summer want to double down & have Kyle be alone & “her son’s” previous nanny/Kyle’s current girlfriend hurt & sad & not with Kyle?
Most likely, the answer is all of the above. Detective Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd) pissed her off when he arrested her brother Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) & he still hasn’t found her mother Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) & things must be slow at Marchetti. Ergo, Summer doesn’t have much to do other than to stir Kyle & Claire’s pot using her sweet little pawn Harrison.
Kyle Abbott Resigned as Victor’s Pawn & is Still an Idiot
During Kyle Abbott’s adult years, Kyle Abbott has been one of Victor Newman’s on-again-off-again pawns because he’s an idiot. Kyle doesn’t learn. Now his ex-wife Summer Newman is using “their son” Harrison as a pawn to stir up as much trouble as possible for him & his girlfriend Claire Newman (Hayley Erin).
Seriously, Kyle is letting/tolerating Summer working him around by simply bringing up little Harrison’s best interest at any & every opportunity yet Kyle is taken aback when for once his girlfriend Claire is bellied up to the GCAC bar & is chit chatting with a random man that showed up supposedly out of nowhere.
Before Young & the Restless fans know Summer will have won her game of chess & Kyle & Miss Claire will have broken up, which means The Mustache will have won his game of chess as well.
