Y&R’s Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) seriously used her brain this week during an impromptu board meeting held without board member Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) at Chancellor Winters. She did not vote in line with her current boyfriend & biological baby daddy, Devon Winters (Bryton James), she voted essentially for her Uncle Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). In addition to Young & the Restless fans, Devon has noticed that Abby has been busy being ditzy. Abby goes with whatever flow is flowing & barely knows what’s going on with anything that has to do with anyone. So, Devon took advantage. Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) & Devon Winters orchestrated an impromptu board meeting without Billy Abbott but with Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) via the Soap Opera version of Zoom. Of course, Devon made sure C-W’s newest board member out-of-the-loop Abby Newman was included as he was sure that his arrogance entitled him with a guarantee that Abby would vote his way. Whoa! There was a light bulb that lit up that hadn’t been seen in months, Abby Newman’s brain.

Abby’s Brain Stays Turned On, Now Turned Off by Devon

Abby is a Newman. Since when is it appropriate for a Newman to be taken advantage of? If Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) were to learn of this, Devon Winters would have to endure a stern scolding by The Almighty Victor Newman in person, not at all via Soap Opera Zoom. What if Abby keeps her Newman wits about her long enough to realize that she’s simply a pawn for Devon? Abby Newman has done almost nothing since getting super-serious with Devon. At this point, she’s not even running her restaurant full-time. She’s a board member for two major companies in Genoa City that rarely have board meetings, let alone board rooms. Finally, Abby has a nanny for her son who has two dads. What would be different with Abby if she were not committed to Devon?

Abby Newman does have personal & professional potential & she needs to revisit it ASAP. Why has her sperm donor become the boss of her? Besides, Abby is much more business savvy & entertaining when she is far away from Devon. It’s time for Devon to be dropped from Abby’s intimate circle & for her to be & stay single. Seriously, Dominic Newman Abbott Winters Chancellor does not need a third dad. Miss Abby needs to set up shop inside a home of her own with her son & their nanny. Then, however, Dom’s daddies work out their custody arrangements will be their new drama from there.
