Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) crosses paths with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) in the park, only to learn that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has dissolved the design division. Sally is convinced it’s a consequence of the ongoing feud between brothers Adam and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). Adam, however, offers Sally a job, but she refuses.
In Crimson Lights, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) spots a struggling Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) trying to communicate with her moody son, Connor Newman (Judah Mackey). Billy manages to coax Connor into discussing his nightmares and school woes, revealing that he’s bullied for defending his parents. Billy’s talk with Connor leaves Chelsea worried.
Later, Chelsea gets a call from Anita Lawson (Catherine Bach), revealing that Connor had asked if he could stay with her. Chelsea checks on Connor, only to find that he has disappeared with some of his belongings. A frantic Chelsea and Adam launch a search for their son.
Meanwhile, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) joins the search and discovers that Connor wasn’t at the bus station. Back in the park, Sally encounters Connor, who claims he’s heading to a friend’s house. Sally manages to get Connor to confess he was running away and convinces him to join her at the coffeehouse. There, Connor reunites with his parents and expresses his desire to go to school near his grandma, Anita.
Elsewhere, at the Abbott estate, Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) presents Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) with a post-nuptial agreement that she had Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) draft. Jack initially protests but eventually signs the document, sending a picture to Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson).
In their suite at the GCAC, Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) wakes up to find Ashley distraught. Ashley confronts Tucker about his visit to Audra Charles’ (Zuleyka Silver) room. Tucker explains the blackmail situation and assures Ashley that he didn’t cheat. They make up, and Ashley later receives the post-nup pic. Tucker analyzes it for loopholes and suggests moving out of the Abbott house.
Back at the Abbott mansion, Tucker and Ashley announce their decision to move out. Ashley assumes Jack had difficulty convincing Diane to sign the post-nup, but Diane reveals it was her idea. Tucker believes Diane’s love for Jack is genuine, but Ashley remains skeptical.
