Young and the Restless Recap September 28, 2026: Victoria Newman and Kyle Abbott Move Their Secret Into the Danger Zone
This Young and the Restless Recap catches Victoria and Kyle’s danger zone hideout, Matt’s ranch goodbye, and Phyllis eyeing Cane’s empire.
THIS YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS RECAP LOSES ITS CLOTHES
TL;DR: This Young and the Restless Recap catches Victoria Newman and Kyle Abbott ditching the motel for a hideaway of their own and a very revealing party game, Matt Clark getting marched into the Newman ranch to deliver one more goodbye to Victor Newman and Nick Newman, and Phyllis Summers trying to buy up half of Cane Ashby’s Genoa City after Billy Abbott admits he caved on his mother’s wedding invitation.
Kyle and Victoria Find a Hideaway
Somebody finally upgraded from the Riverbank Motel. Victoria Newman walked into an apartment to find Kyle Abbottalready waiting, and this Young and the Restless Recap is here to report that the woman who runs Newman Enterprises lasted roughly four seconds before the kissing started. She did pause long enough to point out it was a weekday, and when Kyle slowed her down on the button situation, she explained she had no interest in confirming the rumor that CEOs never actually work. Priorities.
In between, Victoria mentioned she’d told her father about spotting Matt Clark while leaving out the tiny detail of where it happened. Kyle is the one who scouted the new place, and she figures it needs some sprucing up before it truly feels like theirs. Then she treated him to a foot-powered massage, and Kyle pulled out his phone with a proposal: a strip version of that classic confession game, the one where you fess up to everything you’ve never done, with every admission costing a piece of clothing, strictly for the purpose of deepening their understanding of one another. Very scholarly.
Victoria promptly scrapped her meetings for the day, and Kyle revealed he’d already scrapped his. Two corporate heirs, one clear calendar. The trash talk flew as the layers dropped, and once they were both down to their skivvies, Kyle playfully suggested calling it a draw. Victoria countered that one of them should concede. Neither did, and Kyle settled the matter by sweeping her off to the bedroom.
Once the clothes went back on, Victoria conceded the apartment is pretty great, and the pair agreed it has to stay completely off the radar. As far as they can tell, it is. They also admitted that all the sneaking around is exactly what makes it so hot, and dubbed their new digs the “danger zone,” because nothing screams discretion like naming your hideout after a Top Gun song. Kyle says the game taught him loads about her, and they swore up and down that this is not a relationship. It’s play, it’s fun, and inside those four walls, nobody else gets a vote. This is a woman whose daughter recently urged her to try dating, which makes “we’re not dating” a very specific kind of hilarious, since Kyle happens to be that daughter’s ex.
Later at the ranch, Victor Newman took one look at his daughter and declared he’d never seen her so luminous. Victoria’s secret stayed safe, and the Mustache went right on praising his kids.
Meanwhile, Billy Abbott found his nephew at Crimson Lights grinning at nothing and hoped it meant a big win at the office. Kyle’s answer was a vague “something like that.” Billy then thanked him for how he’s stepped in for the Abbotts lately and predicted he’ll hold the family’s favorite-son title forever if the smart choices keep coming. Billy, of course, is Victoria’s ex. Somewhere, the universe is taking notes.

Matt Clark Says Goodbye Again
Over at the ranch, Nick Newman stopped in for tea and learned that Nikki Newman had bolted for work before sunrise. Victor was thrilled his son was in such good spirits, and Nick said having a purpose again has left him feeling brand new. His dad urged him to hang onto that and to lean on counseling whenever he needs it. A lovely, peaceful father-son moment. You can guess how long that lasted.
Security soon hauled in Matt Clark, and Nick went from zen to furious in record time. Once the guard was dismissed, Matt complained that he’d been on his way out of town when he got yanked back. Victor reminded him he’s announced his exit roughly a thousand times. Matt explained he’d had a few final matters to wrap up, and yes, he’s going, with a traveling companion, and no, it isn’t Phyllis Summers. Instead, he framed escorting Patty Williams out of town as a civic service, and Victor Newman actually chuckled, which is how you know the apocalypse is scheduled.
Nick thinks Patty belongs in police custody. Matt believes he can talk sense into her and persuade her to surrender, which, for a woman who once shot Jack Abbott three times, is a truly ambitious plan. Pull it off, and maybe people will stop seeing a monster when they look at him. Matt was adamant that sticking around town means never being forgiven, so he intends to vanish permanently. Victor halted his exit, and Nick promised that if Matt ever crosses his path again, it won’t end well.
Matt thanked them for letting him walk out in one piece, noted he’d done them a favor and enjoyed the feeling, and told Nick not to forget how amazing Phyllis is. He added that Nick would never buy it, but he wished him the best anyway. Nick roared at him to leave. Once the door closed, Nick hoped the nightmare was really over, and even conceded Matt seems different now. Apparently, Nick’s own security detail was fond of the guy, which has to sting.
Father and son then shared a quiet moment of missing Noah Newman. When Victoria arrived, the men thanked her for tipping them off about Matt and assured her they’d seen him out of town. Victor, feeling sentimental, told his kids that watching them side by side is his greatest joy, since family comes first, and he adores them both.
Phyllis Goes Real Estate Shopping
At the GCAC, Billy bumped into Cane Ashby, who was busy bragging about his plans to put AI to work on medical research. Cane said he was glad Billy stepped aside instead of battling Lily Winters for the company, and Billy insisted he wants it to thrive, too. Then Cane passed along that Jill Abbott is over the moon about her wedding invite. Billy made it clear he only did it for Sally Spectra, and he fully expects fireworks at the ceremony regardless. Cane swore Jill will be on her best behavior. Billy admitted he’d been guilt-tripped into the whole thing. At least he’s honest.
Then Phyllis breezed in, assumed the two men were plotting something, and joined in on their doom-and-gloom brainstorm by nominating Billy’s upcoming nuptials as exhibit A. She bragged that she’s about to launch Arabesque into the stratosphere, Billy told her she’s lost her grip on reality, and she reminded Cane what a great team they once were while mocking Billy for having nothing on his plate. The guys retaliated by bringing up her fling with Matt, which even by Phyllis standards was a questionable choice. She claimed he’s gone, she’s fine, and she has Lauren Fenmore, so who needs anyone else? This from a woman who last woke up alone with nothing but Matt’s cap.
When Sally texted and Billy took off, Cane got straight to the point: Phyllis had an angle. She swore Arabesque is in great shape and she’s simply trimming the fat and looking ahead, but Cane could see she was wound tighter than a drum. As he tried to make his escape, she dropped her pitch. She’d like to buy every property he picked up after his return to town, GCAC included. Cane reminded her she stabbed him in the back last time, and pointed out that his success came despite her, not because of her. Then he figured out her game: she’s planning to run the exact playbook he walked away from. Imitation really is the sincerest form of corporate raiding.
Is Phyllis about to pull off the deal of the decade, or is Arabesque in more trouble than she’s admitting? Tell us in the comments below.
Monday Keeps Its Clothes Off
Two secret lovers traded a dingy motel for a proper hideaway, a nickname straight out of an eighties soundtrack and a game that went all the way. Matt Clark made what he swears is his final bow on Victor’s turf, and Victor got the rare treat of laughing at him. Phyllis tried to buy Genoa City one property at a time, while Billy crowned his nephew the family’s model citizen without the faintest clue what that model citizen was up to that morning.
