Christian Newman: Where He’s Not At & What’s His Point?
Y&R’s Christian Newman has been MIA for years. Yet, he continues to be mentioned intermittently by the Newman son who is raising him, Nick Newman. Day after day Young & the Restless fans across social media ask where Christian is, what he’s doing, & how old he is. If only Nick or Christian’s biological father Adam Newman cared a little bit more on Y&R.
Christian’s Mom Sage, Her Place in the Newman Bro Club
Like Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), & Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), Christian’s biological mother the late Sage Newman (Kelly Sullivan) has been with both Newman Brothers. Each of these ladies made it to the alter with both Newmans except for Sally who is 0-2.

Now Young & the Restless fans are left with a Newman son who almost nothing is known about except that he’s really Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) son but is being raised by Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).
Christmas Without Christian, More of the Same in 2024
Who knows how old Christian is? What are his interests? Does he do well in school? Does Christian have any friends? Are there times when he spends at the Ranch? No one knows, except maybe Nick Newman. However, at this point, Nick knowing anything is doubtful as well. His Sharon Newman OCD has gone wild under the current circumstances in Genoa City.
This year on Y&R Nick Newman ran to a Christmas Tree Farm to supply Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) home & family with some Christmas spirit. Christian missed out. Christian missing out was not shocking, but it doesn’t make sense. Why wouldn’t Christian who lives with Nick in Genoa City be included in Christmas festivities at Sharon’s home &/or the new Newman Ranch with his grandparents regardless of father figure Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) & Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott)? Does Nick Newman seriously have Christian locked up in his basement with an unknown nanny?
Old Enough for Boarding School but Left Home Alone
Boarding school is par for the course in Genoa City, especially for the Newman family. Christian is mentioned, but he’s mentioned being at home with the nanny. He’s always at home with the nanny. What if Christian was in boarding school & Young & the Restless could make some sense sometimes?
Christian Newman’s Tragic Death on Y&R
In “Soap Opera World,” the best solution for Christian Newman’s character is to be taken out. As per the link shared earlier in this post, how Christian was brought into “Soap Opera /world & how it was decided that he be raised could not be more convoluted. Since all of the drama with Christian being created by Adam & Sage but being raised by Nick who Christian is has been brought to a screeching halt & it’s been hauled for years.
At this point only referencing Christian spending time with his nanny without seeing him & not seeing him at all in person is like fixing an old car over & over again. It’s pointless. It’s time to cash out & be done with Christian on Young & the Restless.
