Kyle Abbott & Claire Newman in the Style of High School With Promise
It’s too early for wedding bells for Kyle Abbott & Claire Newman, but if their relationship stays on track Kyle will be gifting Claire a Promise Ring within 3-4 more intimate encounters on Young & the Restless. The only shot of teenagers dating on Y&R in Genoa was Lucy Romalotti & Johnny Abbott & that was for a minute nearly a year or so ago. For now, Kyle & Claire will be filling this need on this soap opera on CBS.
Lives With Parents, Works in a C-Suite, & Loves Harrison
Seriously, this is what Young & the Restless fans are dealing with as it pertains to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) & Claire Newman (Hayley Erin). These two new lovers are grown-ups who live with their parents with token C-suite jobs & both love Little Harrison (Redding Munsell). This is the relationship that the powers that be at CBS want Y&R fans to obsess over. When will soap opera fans be given a break?
Kyle Abbott has been married how many times? He’s knocked up a married woman & as per just one paternity test is her son’s biological father, of course, Harrison.
Oh, & there was that Colleagues with Benefits scenario with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) that was one hot mess on Kyle’s end & without feelings & only being horny on Audra’s part. Now conveniently, Claire fills all of Kyle’s needs, which includes a counselor on Young & the Restless.
Kyle Has Problems With His Parents, Every Damn Day
Lather, rinse, & repeat. Almost every damn day Kyle Abbott has some problem with his parents, either Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) &/or Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). After Kyle fights with either of his parents he runs off to meet his new girlfriend Claire Newman for dinner at Society. Kyle doesn’t ask anyone to take care of Harrison & he always ends up venting to Claire about yet another day of not getting along with his parents. Claire is basically Kyle’s complimentary psychologist with benefits.
Claire Newman is either ignorant because of not being exposed to adult relationships with the opposite sex, or she’s somehow connected to her Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk) who is out & about again in Genoa City. TBD…

Please, give Young & the Restless fans a break. Kyle’s dumb ass has been everywhere by Sunday & now he’s asking a barely non-virgin out of the gate to be his girlfriend even though she’s an adult. Oh, good Lord. Let’s read between the lines. Kyle hasn’t ever had a clue & Claire doesn’t have a clue about birth control. Another Newman-Abbott baby coming soon on Young & the Restless.
