Jack Abbott Gifts Glissade to Diane & the Other Abbotts Are Pissed
It’s almost like Young & the Restless fans are writing the script themselves. There is not one soap opera fan who is shocked that Smilin’ Jack Abbott has gifted Glissade to his wife Diane after their scripted play to teach their son Kyle Abbott a lesson & to make him feel better & part of the Abbott family again. What happened to the Jabot board having a say? What about the Glissade board? Finally, what about the Abbott family & their father’s legacy that’s brought up only when things are going south? All the Reasons Diane Will Push Ashley Back into Treatment…
Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) seriously just returned home from in-patient treatment knocking all of her recently acquired personalities back into one true self. What if her brother Smilin’ Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) would give her a minute or a month to settle back into the Abbott House? Nope. Ashley’s brother Jacky had a charade going on in real-time with his wife Diane Jenkins (Susan Jenkins) suggesting their marriage was one step away from an annulment or a divorce & Diane had already moved out & making plans to move on.
Ashley has already learned that the unplanned gift of Diane not living inside her family home was a charade to somehow get her adult nephew Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) in line. Ashley isn’t happy & neither is her sister Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland). Thank God Aunt Traci is living at the Abbott House again. Ashley is going to need support after she learns Glissade has been gifted to Diane.
Jack’s Mind: Mostly Cloudy With a Chance of a Severe Storm
Has Ashley’s brother Jack forgotten that Glissade was supposed to be Ashley’s courtesy of her ex-husband Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John)? If Ashley hadn’t suffered the mental health challenges that she did & not thought she was being gaslighted by Tucker, she would at least be running the lab at Glissade & have an executive title that begins with the letter ‘C’ & has her officing in a C-suite.
Once Ashley learns that Jack has carte blanche gifted Glissade to Diane there will be Abbott reactions. Most likely, there will be multiple Abbott reactions from Ashley who just wrapped up her temporary count of Ashley Abbott personalities from 3 to 1. Once Belle Ashley or Evil Ashley bounces back into the Abbott home, Jack Abbott won’t be smilin’ & will be the only one to blame.
