Detective Chance Chancellor wasn’t always the best detective but desperate times call for desperate measures.

It’s Time to Check the Genoa City Motor Arms, Nick

Is it everyone’s first day in Genoa City on Young & the Restless? Almost always when someone is missing they can be found at the Abbott Cabin by the lake or at the Genoa City Motor Arms. Neither Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) or Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) are thinking right now.

Before heading to Madison to save Sharon, Mariah could have called the CEO she was supposed to be meeting with on behalf of Cassidy First after learning Sharon supposedly took the meeting. Instead, Mariah wasted time with a wasted trip to Madison meanwhile Sharon is contemplating hurting Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) with the man that she did kill, Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby). Nick Newman’s first instinct will not be to check the Genoa City Motor Arms after learning Sharon is off the grid.

Detective Chance Chancellor Helps Nick Help Sharon

That ten minutes that Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd) & Sharon Newman dated were totally hot & many Young & the Restless fans say it should have gone on a little longer. Regardless, there is no doubt that if/when Nick Newman asks Chance Chancellor to step even temporarily back into his Detective role, chances are Chance will.

Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) hair was found at the Genoa City Motor Arms by Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), not Detective Chancellor. After Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk) kidnapped Harrison Locke (Redding Munsell) Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) found him at the Motor Arms. Even Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) put in some time at the Motor Arms when she was last off the wagon. These stays at the motel are all in very recent Y&R history. Will, for the sake of Sharon Newman, Detective Chancellor think to check out the motel where Genoa City residents go when they don’t want to be found ASAP?

Sharon Newman & Dead Cameron Push Chance Back

Chance Chancellor has already confided in his current lover, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) that he has been considering going back into law enforcement. Summer isn’t excited about this development, but claims to understand. Her supposed understanding will be tested when it’s her on-again-off-again step-mother/Chance’s last lover who pushes him back into being in harms way professionally every damn day.

Summer Newman has actually proved herself quite mature in recently dealing with her mother’s fake death, a divorce, her son being kidnapped, & a recent custody revision & reboot with her ex-husband Kyle Abbott. Sharon & Chance were together for about 10 minutes. Summer will be fine. She’s been fine since sleeping with one of her mother’s ex-boyfriends Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), so there’s that as well.
