Y&R spoilers reveal Chance Chancellor attends Heather Stevens’ funeral despite arresting Daniel, but refuses to attend ex-wife Abby’s wedding to Devon. Summer Newman caught between personal and professional conflicts.
CHANCE’S QUESTIONABLE WEDDING CHOICES RAISE EYEBROWS
So, Chance Chancellor found time to support his girlfriend Summer Newman at Heather Stevens’ funeral, yet he can’t find a way to attend Summer’s aunt’s wedding at her namesake’s new mansion. Chance has awkward connections to both events. So what makes which event more tasteful to attend? How does this detective’s mind work?
FUNERAL ATTENDANCE RAISES QUESTIONS ABOUT PRIORITIES
As much as Sharon Newman had no business attending Heather Stevens’ funeral, Detective Chance Chancellor was in the same sinking boat yet still attended. There were & still are other ways for Chance to support his girlfriend Summer Newman & ultimately her brother Daniel Romalotti who has been arrested for Heather Stevens’ murder. How about starting with checking the security tapes inside the building where Daniel & Heather lived? What about questioning some of the other tenants in the building such as Lily Winters & Nate Hastings?
Detective Chance Chancellor isn’t taking responsibility for arresting Daniel, however. Instead, he’s blaming it on the District Attorney. So, Chance can sit at Daniel’s wife’s funeral but he can’t find a way to attend Abby Newman’s wedding at the new Newman Ranch?
CHANCE’S COMPLICATED HISTORY WITH ABBY REVEALED
Chance Chancellor will not be attending his ex-wife’s wedding at the new Newman Ranch. Under normal circumstances, Young & the Restless fans may understand… After all, Chance caught his now ex-wife Abby cheating with their at-the-time sperm donor Devon sleeping together in real time. However, Chance is still one of Dominic’s two dads.
If Chance really wanted to join his girlfriend Summer at her aunt Abby’s wedding & her Dad’s new ranch/mansion he could have pitched being an additional security guard in light of the new building & been disguised as an employee. If he was really a man, he would go regardless. If he attended Heather’s funeral after attempting her lover for her murder that everyone knows he did not commit, including Chance, why can’t he attend Abby’s wedding?
CHANCE’S FUTURE HANGS IN THE BALANCE
Detective Chance Chancellor better shape up or ship out of Genoa City. If he doesn’t sharpen up his detective work & Daniel Romalotti goes to trial, his relationship with Summer will not survive. As for his “son” Dominic, at least as far as Y&R fans have seen, he hasn’t spent any time with him since dating Summer. Dom’s mom Abby & their sperm donor Devon Hamilton-Winters have been playing house at the Chancellor Estate for months. Does little Dom even know who his other dad is? Dominic is going to be the ring bearer at Abby & Devon’s wedding. That might a nice but yet confusing time for Chance & that little boy to reconnect. Finally, Chance has barely been back at GCPD & it isn’t going well. He should have not taken Heather Stevens’ murder case to start with & it’s not going well at all. So, what will be next for Chance Chancellor on Young & the Restless?
