Is Y&R’s Best-Dressed Unemployed Woman Secretly Working for Leanna Love?
For months Phyllis Summers has been the best-dressed unemployed woman in all of Genoa City & she’s stirring the pot all over town like it’s her job on Young & the Restless. Is Phyllis working for Leanna Love? She has to be earning money to pay for those dresses somehow.
Genoa City’s Best-Dressed Lady, Unemployed Phyllis
Young & the Restless fans can love or hate Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), but she is no doubt the best-dressed unemployed lady in Genoa City. She’s stunning in the morning at Crimson Lights morning, noon, &/or night depending on the day. Phyllis lunches with her daughter Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) at Society looking absolutely fabulous. If Summer isn’t around she’ll bump into Summer’s dad Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) & will lunch with him instead, or maybe dinner. She’ll also do whatever with him at the Genoa City Athletic Club. Phyllis & Nick haven’t “whatevered” upstairs yet at the GCAC but her looking how she looks & being as available as she is, it could be coming very soon.

Phyllis Summers doesn’t only dress up to randomly meet family in Genoa City in town, almost anyone who will listen to her will do to fill her time. Young & the Restless fans shook their heads after Phyllis insisted that she & Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) enjoy a drink at the GCAC bar “woman-to-woman.” Again, love or hate Phyllis, Lily probably can’t find much in common with her except for Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) & how they feel about Daniel is definitely not the same way.
Encounters with Nemeses
Then there’s Phyllis Summers running to her long-time nemesis Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). Related… Why does Sharon get to bounce back to being a Newman after another marriage goes south but Phyllis bounces back to her maiden name? They both have children with Nick Newman. Anyway, with Sharon Newman off of her meds & Phyllis being brought up to speed during her meals with Nick on the latest with Sharon, these visits are always entertaining.
It’s also entertaining when Phyllis runs into another nemesis of hers, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). They never share a meal but they throw plenty of insults & Phyllis draws out whatever Abbott family scoop she can get.
Leanna Love Connection
The last time Leanna Love (Barbara Crampton) was last seen in Genoa City to celebrate Y&R’s 50th anniversary & to have a front-row seat to Phyllis Summer faking her death. It’s been a while & someone needs to be doing Leanna’s dirty work.
