Dr. Alan’s Book: The Twin Deception

Dr. Alan on Young & the Restless has freshened up his priority list. He’s more than ready to relocate wherever everyone’s favorite Aunt Traci Abbott will be, even across the pond to Genoa City, WI. Dr. Alan is also ready to write a book about his identical twin brother Martin. That shouldn’t be hard since Alan is actually Martin on Y&R.

Traci Abbott’s Romantic Getaway

Dr. Alan Laurant (Christopher Cousins) & Traci Abbott’s (Beth Maitland) new intimate relationship is too cute & it’s also going too well. While Traci Abbott has had roots in Genoa City on Y&R her entire life, she cannot wait for Dr. Alan to show her the Genoa City skyline from his suite inside the Genoa City Athletic Club. Traci Abbott needs love in her life & should have love. She’s the most lovely lady in & out of Genoa City yet is almost always let down. Regardless, she should get some good lovin’ upstairs while in the moment as there are likely moments of regret coming soon.

The Mystery of Ashley Abbott’s Whereabouts

When was the last time anyone checked on Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson)? As far as Young & the Restless fans know she is still checked into inpatient therapy just outside of Paris inside the clinic that Dr. Alan vetted for her. It’s unknown, however, to Y&R fans how many personalities Ashley Abbott has left. Is Ashley Abbott back to being Ashley Abbott? Or, are any of her other personas still in place?

Ashley’s daughter Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) is back in Genoa City & is waiting patiently for her mother to return to GC this fall to marry Devon Winters (Bryton James) in her company. Abby Newman tends to be out of the loop with both the Newmans & the Abbotts so it’s no surprise she hasn’t followed up with her mother since she announced her engagement to Devon. Traci Abbott, however, is God’s gift to the Abbott family & is always on top of everything for her family. Why hasn’t Traci checked on Ashley since she & Alan have traveled from Paris to LA & now to Genoa City? Did Alan really vet this clinic outside of Paris for Ashley? Or, did Alan’s brother Martin?

Potential Consequences for the Abbott Sisters

Either Dr. Alan has completely changed or he’s really dead & Traci Abbott is dating the thought-to-be deceased Martin Laurant (Christopher Cousins). Since Alan & Traci have been spending as much time together as possible which is almost always instigated by “Alan,” he’s over the top with everything, now including wanting to double down on relocating to wherever Traci Abbott wants to be.

Fan Speculation and Unanswered Questions

All of this information leaves Young & the Restless fans wondering about the current state of Ashley Abbott’s mental health & where things go from here with both Ashley & her sister Traci. Isn’t it weird that Alan never mentioned his identical brother Martin to Ashley during their years of friendship? Doesn’t it seem a little too convenient that since Ashley agreed to be checked into inpatient treatment Alan has taken up taking up all of Traci Abbott’s time? Traci Abbott’s heart is about to be broken yet again & will likely be published in a book featuring Martin Laurent.
