Y&R Spoilers: Traci’s Parisian Romance and Genoa City Drama
Dramatic Intro
Oh. My. Gosh. Y’all, grab your popcorn because the drama in GC is about to get real! The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, July 26, are serving up a much-needed breather from all the crazy breakdowns and shenanigans. Instead, we’re jetting off to Paris to catch up with our girl Traci and her new “friend” Alan. But don’t worry, soap fam, Victor’s still in Genoa City, dishing out his signature brand of unsolicited advice. Classic Victor, am I right?
Traci’s Parisian Adventure
Let’s dish about Traci’s Parisian adventure first, shall we? Our sweet Traci (the fabulous Beth Maitland) initially flew to the City of Love to help her sis Ashley (Eileen Davidson) sort out her mental mess. Talk about sister goals! But hold onto your berets because this trip took more twists and turns than a daytime wedding ceremony. First, we found out Ashley was being played by the uber-evil Martin. Then, in true soap fashion, Martin bit the dust, and poor Ashley got shipped off to the French version of a psychiatric facility.
But here’s where it gets juicy, folks. Traci ended up connecting with Martin’s supposedly not-evil twin, Alan (hello, Christopher Cousins!). I mean, only in the soap world, right? Now, these two lovebirds are painting the town red, taking in the sights, sharing deep convos, and – wait for it – locking lips! Ooh la la!
But here’s the million-dollar question: Could this Parisian fling turn into something real? Could this be the silver lining that makes this whole convoluted, whiplash-inducing storyline worth it? Or are we being set up for the mother of all fakeouts? I don’t know about you, but I’m on the edge of my seat!
Devon’s Big Proposal
Meanwhile, back in good ol’ Genoa City, Devon (Bryton James) is taking the plunge and asking Abby (Melissa Ordway) to put a ring on it. Now, this ain’t Devon’s first rodeo when it comes to marriage, but it is his first time proposing to a bona fide Daughter of Victor. And let me tell you, being a Newman is like being Zeus’s kid, only with better hair and more corporate takeovers.
But here’s the kicker – Devon’s gotta ask for Victor’s blessing. I mean, can you even imagine? It’s like asking the Godfather for permission to date his daughter. Thankfully, Victor, in all his magnanimous glory, gives Devon the green light. And because he’s Victor “I-know-best” Newman, he throws in some business advice for free. Because nothing says “welcome to the family” like unsolicited corporate strategies, right?
Brewing Custody Battle
And just when you thought things couldn’t get any spicier, we’ve got a custody battle brewing! Summer (Allison Lanier) never officially adopted little Harrison (the adorable Redding Munsell), but Kyle (Michael Mealor) had the kid calling her “Mommy” faster than you can say “paternity test.” Now that Kyle’s acting like a grade-A idiot (both in his personal life and at the office), Summer’s thinking about suing for custody. You go, girl!
Kyle, bless his heart, thinks his bio-dad status will trump whatever Summer and her fancy lawyers cook up. But our girl Summer’s got an ace up her designer sleeve. Kyle, honey, you might want to buckle up because this ride’s about to get bumpy!
