Y&R’s Tessa Porter is married to Mariah but spending all her time with Daniel Romalotti. Why is no one in Genoa City questioning this?!

TL;DR: For the love of everything in soap opera world, why is no one in Genoa City questioning Daniel Romalotti and Tessa Porter’s relationship on Young and the Restless? Tessa is married to Mariah, Daniel is unemployed, and somehow they’re inseparable. Only Phyllis Summers has noticed!
Y&R Fans Have Spoken and Genoa City Keeps Quiet
For the love of everything in Soap Opera World, why is not one Genoa City resident, except for Phyllis Summers, questioning Daniel and Tessa’s relationship? No one knows that Daniel and Tessa have slept together yet, but they have been nearly inseparable for months.
Why is no one asking Tessa where her wife, Mariah, is, especially Mariah’s supposed BFF, Kyle Abbott? Why isn’t anyone in Genoa City double-checking with Tessa on her “lesbian status?” Why isn’t anyone asking Daniel how and why he is still unemployed and instead hanging out full-time with a married lesbian?
Young and the Restless fans have spoken and are wondering what is up with Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks). Yet, no one in Genoa City on Y&R has spoken up, except for the loudest lady in town, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Nothing gets by Phyllis, except for how stupid it is to make deals with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), but that discussion is for another time.
Seriously, Daniel and Tessa spend SO much time at Crimson Lights. Tessa is married to the owner’s daughter, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes). Sure, owner Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) has been otherwise occupied with her son, Noah Newman (Lucas Adams), but still. Esther Valentine (Kate Linder), who is running Crimson Lights right now, hasn’t even mentioned anything. Is Sharon’s GM, Esther, seriously that into Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) and producing on demand complimentary coffees for him to overlook Tessa, maybe cheating on Sharon’s daughter?… and with a man??

Y&R’s Abby Overlooks Society on SO Many Levels
CLASSIC… More out-of-the-loop Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway) on Young and the Restless. When was the last time Tessa managed a shift at Society? When was the last time that Abby managed a shift at Society? Abby made an appearance on New Year’s Eve, but wasn’t there long enough to catch on to her General Manager, Tessa Porter’s, updated list of priorities.
It’s seriously time for Abby Winters to buy a freaking clue. Does she have any idea that Jabot is in turmoil? Does she have any idea that Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) is back from the dead and back from the dead to terrorize the Newmans? She clearly has no idea that her General Manager, who is married to a woman, has a marriage in dire straits and is seeing a man.
Next on Young and the Restless, Tessa Confides in Sharon
Finally! What in the what has been going on with THIS relationship? There is SO much to unpack here, including Tessa trying to track down Sharon in her own home to find her old pal from L.A., Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun). Instead of Tessa bringing Sharon up to speed about where things stand with her and Mariah, she ends up traveling down memory lane with Sienna, and then Noah walks in.
So, let’s get this straight… Tessa and Sienna have both slept with Noah Newman. Sienna has slept with Matt Clark, who has raped Sharon, who is Noah and Mariah’s mother. Tessa is technically still married to Mariah and is now in a “situationship” with Daniel, who was involved in the death of Mariah’s twin sister, the late Cassie Newman, also portrayed by Camryn Grimes.
Even Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) hasn’t even questioned Daniel’s relationship with Tessa. Before she left Genoa City to visit her daughter, she was sticking her nose in everyone else’s business as if it were her job. Daniel is her last serious ex-lover and her ex-husband pre-Cane Ashby (then Daniel Goddard and now Billy Flynn). It shouldn’t be shocking, as she didn’t insert herself at all after Daniel’s last partner, the late Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom), was killed in her building.
So seriously, besides Phyllis, who will be next to wonder what is up with Genoa City’s newest couple? Tessa is about to tell Sharon… Once Sharon is brought up to speed, will there be additional bonding between new besties, Sharon and Phyllis, coming soon on Young and the Restless?

Tessa has been with a guy before. She seems to like men & women. And she has really come to like Daniel. Mariah should have talked to Tessa about her problems from day one. And should have included her in her recovery. That’s what you do in a relationship.
