MARIAH COPELAND TOLD A SLEEPING DOMINIC SHE WOULD DIE BEFORE LETTING ANYONE TAKE HIM FROM HER ON THURSDAY’S YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

TL;DR: Mariah Copeland woke up from a nightmare about losing Dominic on Thursday’s The Young and the Restless, then whispered a chilling promise to him as he slept: she’ll die before she lets anyone take him away. Meanwhile, Victor claims Lily is “100% on board” with his plan, and Cane grabbed Adam by the lapels threatening revenge.

That Promise Was Not a Lullaby

Mariah Copeland woke up screaming on Thursday’s The Young and the Restless. She had dreamed that Dominic was gone — the car door was open, the backseat was empty, and her heart was shattered. When she opened her eyes and found him still sleeping peacefully in the back, she did not sigh with relief and drive to a police station.

She started talking to him.

Mariah Copeland told a sleeping Dominic that when he was in her tummy, all she wanted was to keep him safe. When he was born, everyone expected her to just walk away — and it hurt her so much. Abby, Devon, and Chance all got to be with him, but she loved him first. Nothing has been right since they were separated, she whispered. They have a bond. This is their time now.

And then came the words that should send every parent in Genoa City into a full panic: “Nobody will ever take him away from me again. I’ll die before that will happen. That’s mommy’s promise to you.”

She started the car and drove away.

The Search Party Is Growing Desperate

Back at Chancellor Mansion, the people who love Dominic are falling apart. Tessa Porter visited Abby and Devon, and while she could not bring herself to apologize for what Mariah has done, she made one thing clear: even though Mariah might be in pain, she knows what she is doing is wrong.

Devon is not feeling charitable. He told Abby that Dominic looked happy in the footage they saw, but it has been two days now. If Mariah has had a complete breakdown, Dominic could be in real danger.

Sharon Newman arrived with food and a new face: Detective Burrows, who has been hired by the GCPD to help find Dominic. He asked the room what could have led Mariah to this point, and Sharon dropped the name everyone has been dancing around — Ian Ward. Mariah was raised in a cult by that man, and his return to Genoa City started unraveling everything.

Tessa suggested they make a public plea, so Abby recorded a tearful video begging anyone with information to come forward. Devon filmed it, trying to hold himself together for the woman he loves. But when Abby broke down crying that she feels like Devon does not trust her, he admitted the truth: he does not trust himself. He is angry as hell.

Victor Claims Lily Is “100% On Board”

Over at Newman Ranch, Nikki and Victoria demanded answers about Victor’s “plan” to get Newman Enterprises back from Cane. Nikki cannot reach Lily or the children, and she wants to know what Victor has done with them.

Victor’s answer? Lily and the kids are in no danger. In fact, Lily is “100% on board” with everything. When Nikki asked how to reach Lily herself, Victor shut her down. He told her to trust him, but she refused — so now he is handling it himself.

Meanwhile, Cane confronted Adam at Chancellor Park Café, grabbing him by the lapels and demanding to know where his family is. Adam played dumb, but Cane was not buying it. He warned Adam that Victor went after someone he loves, so now he will go after someone Victor loves.

Adam’s response? If Cane goes after a Newman, it will be like he never existed.

When Adam reported the threat back to the ranch, Victor was unmoved. Cane can come for them all he wants — he will not get through. Victor will do whatever it takes to get his company back.

Daniel Drew a Line in the Sand

The fallout is spreading beyond the Newmans. Daniel Romalotti told Phyllis point blank at the GCAC: give back Newman Enterprises, or she will never speak to him or her granddaughter Lucy again. When he spotted Cane walking in, Daniel made sure both of them heard him loud and clear — if anything happens to Lily and her kids, they are both responsible.

He stormed out, leaving Phyllis to make excuses about how “judgmental” her children are. Some mother of the year she is turning out to be.
