After freezing Phyllis’s deals out of every market, after ordering Michael Baldwin to strike, after rallying Cricket to the cause, Victor gets the piece he has been missing. Whatever the leverage is, it is going to be the wrench that finally breaks Phyllis Summers, and Genoa City is about to feel every consequence of the Mustache landing his shot.
Victor Newman does not gain leverage and sit on it. The moment the leverage hits his desk, the use of it is already planned, and Phyllis is going to find herself cornered in a way she has not been cornered in years. Eric Braeden playing a Victor who has won the chess match is one of the most satisfying things on the canvas, and Tuesday is the day he finally smiles like he means it.
Phyllis Summers has been outrunning Victor’s full attention for the better part of a decade. Tuesday she stops being able to outrun anything. The Young and the Restless has been building this collision since Phyllis crossed Victor, and the moment of impact has arrived. Whatever the leverage looks like, it is going to be precise, devastating, and exactly the kind of move that reminds Genoa City why nobody crosses the Mustache and walks away clean.
