Remember what he is carrying. Back in July, Johnny slipped into Sarah’s hospital office with gloved hands and left a medical book pointing her toward arsenic, on orders from his father, EJ DiMera. He has lied for EJ ever since. Last week he finally yelled at his father for making him lie to everyone and compromising his integrity.

Chanel Walks In on the Wrong Phone Call

Before he ever reaches Rafe, the secret starts leaking at home. Chanel DiMera walks into her living room and catches Johnny on the phone. “Please tell me you are not the one behind this lawsuit,” he says to someone on the other end. Chanel looks shaken, and no wonder. Her husband is clearly in something deep.

The spoilers do not name who he is talking to or which day it airs. The lawsuit in question is the wrongful death suit Destiny’s parents are filing against Sarah and the hospital. Reading between the lines, Johnny DiMera suspects somebody close to home.

Friday: A Shower, a Confession and Johnny DiMera’s Point of No Return

Friday is Johnny’s day of reckoning, and it lands on top of a party. Chanel told her mother, Paulina Price, she did not want a baby shower. Paulina throws one anyway, and every guest gets a surprise of their own. Keep an eye on the doughnuts.

That same day Johnny comes clean to Rafe. EJ leans on Rita Lesley, Julie Williams encourages Marlena, and Sydney DiMera makes an unexpected mistake. It was Sydney who told him to quit or hold the line, and he picked a third option.

My gut tells me Rafe is the easy part. The hard part is walking into that baby shower knowing Chanel already heard enough to ask questions. If I know these writers, the confession to Rafe stays secret for about five minutes. There is already plenty of Salem chatter about where this family lands.
