TONY DIMERA PICKS HIS TEAM BEFORE EJ EVEN GETS A WORD IN

TL;DR: Tony DiMera tells Dominic Marino “It’s the DiMeras against the world” in next week’s promo. On Thursday, EJ confides in Tony. Whose side is Tony really on?

The Line Tony DiMera Delivers With a Drink in His Hand

It is confirmed, and it is pure DiMera. In the promo for the week of November 9, Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) gets better acquainted with Dominic Marino (Kyle Pryor) at the DiMera mansion and tells him, “It’s the DiMeras against the world.” One description of the footage says Tony sips his drink and says it coyly. That is a welcome mat, a warning, or both.

These Days of Our Lives spoilers come from two separate write-ups of the same promo, and both put the scene at the mansion during a family meeting. Neither says which day it airs. Tony is booked for Monday, November 9, when he and Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley) come home for Lexie’s memorial, and again on Thursday, November 12, when EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) confides in him.

Anna Asks the Question Nobody Else Will

The same promo hands Anna the sharpest line in the room. “Well, if you don’t mind my asking, who is your mother?” she asks Dominic. As she does, the camera finds Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and Belle Black (Martha Madison), who look on without saying a word.

Marlena has every reason to stay quiet. The birth certificate that aired in September lists Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) as Dominic’s father and Marlena as his mother. Paper is not proof, and nobody has run a test. But Anna just said out loud what every DiMera is thinking.

Then the promo leaves Dominic alone in the living room. He glances up at Stefano’s portrait, turns to the chess game on the table, and makes his move. Subtle, he is not.

Whose Side Is Tony DiMera On, Dominic’s or EJ’s?

Nobody has answered that on screen, and the timing makes it a real question. As our daily recaps showed, Dominic walked into Lexie’s memorial at the Brady Pub on Friday, November 6, and greeted EJ with “Hello, brother.” EJ spotted Stefano’s phoenix ring on his hand. Tony missed all of it. He texted EJ that his flight was delayed.

So Tony walks into this cold, and he does not walk in with clean hands. On November 5, Chad DiMera (Conner Floyd) fielded Theo’s questions about DiMera ships moving counterfeit goods and suspected Tony or EJ. Theo’s answer was “maybe both.”

Tony also has a long record of fighting for the family business. Back in September 2025 he demanded DiMera Enterprises back from Xander and Philip and gave them 24 hours to decide. A man who wants the throne might happily welcome a new piece on the board if it keeps EJ from owning the whole game.

EJ Confides in Tony on Thursday

On Thursday, November 12, EJ confides in Tony. What he says has not surfaced in any preview yet. Since EJ cut ties with Johnny, his circle has shrunk to almost nothing, and Tony may be the last relative he trusts. If EJ pours out his fears about Dominic, Tony DiMera will already know exactly what the newcomer heard from him.

Here is the part that makes me nervous. In a line reported from the fall promo, Tony says, “One of Father’s favorite pastimes was pitting his children against one another.” Nobody knows that game better than the son Stefano raised. “The DiMeras against the world” can mean a hug, and it can also mean a trap. If you missed why Tony and Anna’s trip home got pushed to Monday, start there.

Rita Picks a Side by Friday

The rest of the week piles on. Dominic clashes with Sydney on Tuesday, Dante confronts him on Thursday, and on Friday, November 13, Marlena is honest with him. That same Friday, Rita Lesley (Maggie Carney) picks a side. Fans tracking every Salem twist can feel the DiMeras splitting into teams.

Does Tony know Marlena’s name is on that certificate? Nothing confirmed says so. My gut says Tony is not choosing Dominic over EJ at all. He is choosing himself, and he wants Dominic close enough to watch. Don’t be surprised if the toast at the mansion is the opening move in Tony DiMera’s own chess game.

Welcome or trap: what is Tony really doing with that toast? Make your case in the comments.

Tony Is Playing His Own Game at the DiMera Mansion

We are taking a side. Tony’s toast sounds warm, but a DiMera who has fought this hard for the company does not hand a stranger the keys on day one. He wants to know what Dominic is after, and whether Marlena fits into it.

EJ still has the stronger claim on Tony’s loyalty, at least until Thursday proves otherwise. Is Tony welcoming family or sizing up a rival? Tell us on our Facebook page.
