The Days of Our Lives spoilers for September 29, 2026 put Xander Kiriakis face to face with EJ DiMera, and he is not there to make nice. One day after vowing to help Sarah Horton, Xander confronts EJ over the mess swallowing his ex-wife’s life.

Here is the mess. Destiny’s parents are filing a wrongful death suit against Sarah and the hospital. On Friday, Sarah found a note claiming she edited Destiny’s test results on June 4, the day after Destiny died. She swears she never touched them. Sarah, Brady Black and Steve all believe EJ set her up, and Xander is outraged that anyone would do this to her.

Why Xander Is Still in Sarah’s Corner

They are not a couple. Their divorce went through in February, and Sarah is with Brady now. But Sarah is the mother of Xander’s daughter, Victoria, and the show’s writers have said she still carries a lingering love for him. That is the heat under Tuesday’s scene.

Xander used to be the man Salem feared at the door. Now he is standing between EJ and the woman he could not keep, with Brady fighting on the same side. That alliance is the strangest pairing in Salem this fall, and I love every minute of it.

Why Is Xander Confronting EJ on Days of Our Lives?

Because he blames EJ for what is happening to Sarah. Nobody has proven EJ planted that note or steered the lawsuit. Brady has said he believes EJ coordinated the suit as payback for the Coriseal complaint EJ pins on Sarah, and Sarah believes the same. Xander walks in convinced. What EJ admits, if anything, the spoilers do not say.

Where Xander Kiriakis Can Actually Hurt EJ

Here is the part the chatter keeps getting wrong. EJ did not personally bury the poisoned Coriseal. The arsenic tainted batch from 2024 went into the ground on Smith Island on the watch of George O’Halloran, the head of DiMera Pharmaceuticals. When it surfaced in June, EJ said he had simply told the pharma chief to handle it, then pushed to keep the drugs buried in any investigation.

That matters. It means Xander Kiriakis is shouting at a man who put a layer of employees between himself and the crime. The pressure on Sarah has been building since last week, and yelling will not crack that layer. The one person who can is EJ’s own son.

Johnny Wants to Fix His Mistakes the Same Day

That son is Johnny DiMera, and on Tuesday he is determined to fix his mistakes. EJ told him about the buried batch back in June and pressed him to lie so people would back off DiMera. In July, on his father’s orders, Johnny left a medical book pointing Sarah toward arsenic in her hospital office. He has lied for EJ ever since.

The spoilers do not say what he does next, only that he wants it put right. By Friday he comes clean to Rafe Hernandez. My gut tells me Xander’s showdown lands at exactly the wrong moment for EJ, just as his son stops covering for him.

Cat, Chanel and a Kiriakis Plan Round Out Tuesday

Cat Greene updates Rafe on her risky plan, days after she quit working for EJ. Nobody has said what the plan is, and there is plenty of Salem chatter guessing. Chanel DiMera makes Gabi Hernandez an offer, and the terms are under wraps.

Philip Kiriakis and Leo Stark formulate a plan of their own. In Salem, two men with a plan is never a small thing, and these two have a knack for trouble.

Xander Kiriakis Is Only Getting Started

Don’t be surprised if Tuesday is only round one. On Thursday, Sarah is publicly accused by the lawyer for Destiny’s parents, and the man who just vowed to help her will not sit quietly through that.

If I know these writers, the real threat to EJ is not Xander’s temper. It is a son who has decided he is done keeping his father’s secrets, and Sarah, who refuses to go down for something she swears she never did.
