Thursday: Lily Finally Talks, Just Not to Cane
The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, Oct 1 finally get Lily Winters talking about whatever she brought home from Chicago. She confides in her cousin, Nate Hastings. Not Cane Ashby, the man who asked her to move in barely two weeks ago. In Genoa City, who you tell first is a tell.
Friday, Oct 2 brings the other half of the story. Kyle Abbott sees a side of Victoria Newman he never expected, right in the middle of the affair they swear is not a relationship. The wedding party makes peace twice the same day, and every beat is waiting in this week’s Young and the Restless spoilers.
Here is why Thursday stings. On Sept 15, Cane told Lily he loved her and wanted to wake up with her every morning, then asked her to live with him. She smiled. Three days later she was in Chicago “on business,” and Cane was leaving voicemails like “Chicago feels very far away right now.” We already laid out why so many fans fear her secret is about her health, and Cane still has no answers.

Why does Lily confide in Nate instead of Cane on Young and the Restless?
The show has not said what she tells him. Family is the easy answer. Their mothers are sisters, which makes them first cousins, and the two have traded confidences before: in August, Lily was the one counseling Nate about going back to medicine.
Nate is also a trained doctor, which is where imaginations run wild. Lily Winters beat ovarian cancer back in 2009 and 2010, and a secret taken to the doctor in the family reads like a health scare to plenty of viewers. But Nate had hand surgery this month, and nobody has seen him cleared to practice, so he is her cousin, not her doctor.
Here is the tell. The show’s fall preview warned that a secret from Lily’s past may put the brakes on her future with Cane, and circulating chatter hints her worry may involve Cane himself. If the problem were a doctor’s appointment, she could tell the man who wants to share her bed. If the problem is Cane, Nate is exactly who she would call.
Friday: Kyle Has Seen This Victoria Before
Lily Winters is not the only woman in town with a second face this week. The Friday teaser even recycles a line the show used on Aug 11: “Kyle sees a new side to Victoria.” That day Victoria admitted at Crimson Lights that she was terrified everything would fall apart if she let her guard down, after her brother Nick Newman walked out of rehab. Kyle held her, and they came within inches of a kiss.
That near miss is how this whole affair started. Now they have a secret apartment with its own garage code and a firm agreement that they are not dating. On Wednesday they keep up appearances in front of Claire Newman, Victoria’s daughter and Kyle’s ex.
On Thursday, Victor Newman hosts a meeting of the minds to help Nick, and Nick decides to take matters into his own hands. If I know these writers, Friday’s new side is Victoria cracking over her brother again. A Victoria who needs Kyle for more than fun would break their not dating rule in one afternoon.
Friday’s Wedding Truces
Sally Spectra‘s wedding party gets a little quieter on Friday. Chelsea Lawson and Audra Charles call a truce for the bride’s sake. That is quite a turn from Sept 23, when Audra brought up Chelsea’s con-artist past after Sally made Chelsea a bridesmaid.
The same day, Adam Newman and Sally reach an understanding. Adam is Chelsea’s date and Sally’s ex, and he has promised to behave himself at the ceremony. We already counted how many exes are headed to this wedding, and Adam is the one who makes the groom sweat.
Don’t be surprised if these two truces turn out to be one deal in disguise. If Adam keeps the peace with Sally, Chelsea has no reason to fight Audra, and the bridesmaids can save their claws for the big day.
What Comes Next for Lily
Lily Winters can only keep Cane in the dark for so long. He runs Chancellor for her and said the big words first. He has also announced he is bringing a date to the wedding. My prediction: Nate tells her to come clean before the vows, and Cane finds out some other way first.
